SURVIVORS: 40 The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it seems like the Storage room has unlocked itself overnight. How quaint. Welcome to Week 2's mingle, everyone! As of this week, we are now accepting murder proposals. [Come Sunday morning, anyone who happens to stop by the front desk will notice something on the bulletin board has... changed. And not for the better.

Jason Todd's 2x2 photo now depicts him with scratches and imprints wrapping around his neck, similar to those found on his corpse. Similarly, Hana Song's photo now depicts her as nearly unrecognizable, her skin boiled and covered in bubbling pus, with only a few tufts of hair and her clothing serving as identification.]

NIGHT TERRORS

[ Promptly at 7AM on Monday morning, each resident will awaken as if their consciousness was not under their own control. No matter how well you slept or how snug you are in your bed, your eyes snap awake and your body feels full of energy. If you and your roommate glance to the front door of your room, you'll find a silver platter. Upon further inspection, there seems to be a folded envelope.

Dear residents,

Another week has started and with such, I regret to inform you that with it comes a new challenge. That word... ah, regret, yes. That sums this week up entirely. You'll find the whispers a bit too loud to ignore over the week. Do not attempt to sleep throughout the duration of this week, they do not like it when you ignore their existence.

Wash up. Breakfast will be served shortly.

[ And like clockwork, characters will begin to hear faint whispers throughout the week. These whispers are tailored to their regret and speak reminders of their shortcomings. Maybe they didn't save their loved one in time? Maybe they wish they went down a different path to improve their life? These regrets are whispered endlessly through the week. They can not escape it. These whispers begin tame and become more dire as time goes along, mocking the residents of Innsmouth Motel. They will only stop after someone has been murdered on Friday. ]

[Monday morning, Mira goes to the front desk to write down the names of the people on the bulletin board. When she finishes she turns to Craftly.]

NEWSPAPER STAND

[Though empty on the first week, residents will now find newspapers in the the vicinity of the front desk. These will list all missing and damaged items from the past week, allowing the remaining survivors to keep track of what may no longer be available.

For this week, the list reads:]

MISSING ITEMS:
- Items Retrieved from the Lost & Found Box: Watch, Dentures, Lighter, Business Card
- Motel: All cooking knives have been stolen.
- Hunting Lodge: Flintlock, First Aid Book, and Wildlife Book
- Clinic: Some scalpels, random medical supplies
- Gas Station: Someone is a fan of all the dancing lumberjacks.
- Grocery Store: Missing rotten fruit.

DAMAGED ITEMS:
- Hunting Lodge: One chair has been splintered.
- Spa: One steam machine taken apart.
- Clinic: Not "damaged", but now it is cleaned up. Thank you, mystery upstanding citizen!

[Anyone who enters the Lounge on Monday will be immediately hit by the stench of blood. Drips and drops of the stuff can be found scattered across the reflective surface of the tables and bars, smudged handprints making it seem like someone lazily dragged their hands across the tables overnight. On the bar's surface, scrawled in messy and deranged handwriting, a message has been written in blood:]

MOTHER TOLD ME SHE WAS THE SPY.
SHE HAD TO DIE.

[Below it, a symbol has similarly been drawn in blood.]

[ jay is standing next to the bar, copying down the message and redrawing the symbol in a notebook. ]

Dining Hall

[ Somewhere around brunch, Omega stands up from her seat and rings her fork against her glass of water… over and over again, to the point where it could call for everyone in the proximity. ]

I have an announcement! I had a talk with Craftly about the Ghost.

[ She clears her throat, to make sure everyone knows this is really important news. ]

I’ve been personally promised that for all further trials, the Ghost’s involvement will be made known to everyone if they do commit a murder. In Craftly’s words, there will be clarity if a role like the Ghost is used on the victims. And he also said that… it’d be easy to narrow it down from the pool of suspects.

Please, tell everyone who isn’t here. I know that was a source of anger for a lot of us, yours truly included. Now we know we’re not just sitting ducks anymore, and the Ghost knows we aren’t either.

Storage room

[ Of course she'd want to investigate the new room! But she seems disappointed it's only cleaning supplies and creepy mannequin torsos... unlike her fellow kleptomaniacs, she doesn't take anything just yet. After all, she can make her own damn bed and her bathroom so far is spotless. ]

Hmm... what a waste. I was hoping there'd be something cool in here!

Botanical Gardens

[ Though there wasn't much for her to see before, Omega is looking around for orange flowers. Every time she sees one, she snips it at the base and adds it to the bouquet she has in hand. Her face is pensive and nostalgic, like someone whose had their cellphone taken away and is sorely missing their best homie.

Which would be exactly the case here, as she digs around for some white flowers to stick on the bouquet, too. ]

Monday; front lobby

[ Knoll had done his best to have himself crawl out of the bed, though he hadn't been able to shake the terror of yesterday's morning from his mind. Thinking about it was enough for him to nearly tremble--was that shameful, he wondered? He wasn't the only one who had witnessed it, after all.

He doesn't quite have the idea of where he wishes to go, though, he's wound up in the lobby. He'll be standing nearby the potted plants for a moment, wondering why the need for artificial plants, and then he will take a step closer to that mirror. Though, he doesn't do much else.

He's murmuring to himself a little. ]

...They do certainly like their smoke and mirrors...

Wednesday; City Hall

[ Today, Knoll's attending City Hall--he'll slip right inside and enter into the Public Collection. Though, anything that's out doesn't interest him much, and soon he's standing outside the room for the Public Archives. He sighs, hand going to lightly press against the door. ]

What a pity...

[ He presses two fingers against his forehead, a bit weary. Then again, perhaps he shouldn't have expected this place to open up too. ]

Thursday; Botanical Garden

[ It has been a few days; Hana is now one of the dead alongside Jason... this is an indisputable fact. Though, it is only now that he comes into the garden--though his visit is intended to be very brief. He carefully took two flowers from the gardens--two purple chrysanthemums. ]

Monday (following the 2spoopy4me message in the lounge) at the outdoor sitting area

[Today Mira has a project she's working on. She was planning to relax at the lounge, drink some booze, have a good day. Well since the lounge is a fucking hot mess of blood, Mira is just going to have to work outside by the pool instead. She has a piece of paper, a pen she twirls between her fingers. Her eyes are intently focused on the paper as she deliberates, scribbling on it every so often in quick succession. Anyone who happens to get a glance at the paper she's working on will see a list of names - everyone currently in Yuggoth (minus Hana and Jason of course...) and some numbers ranging from 1-10 next to the names.]

Hm... I want to be fair, but I also must be just. It wouldn't be right to spare people's feelings because I want to be nice...

Tuesday (morning) in the lobby

[After painstaking work on Monday, and getting some slightly dusty but otherwise intact materials from City Hall, Mira has finally completed her masterwork project.

And that project is two big papered lists plastered in the lobby wall beside the front desk. One reads "HOT OR NOT" and the other is "CUTE OR NOT (THE KIDS TABLE)." And on the papers are the names of every player (and Craftly) with a ranking by stars. It even includes tiny scribble head drawings of everyone above their name, ranking and a little commentary snippet.

The poster isn't signed at all, but it is pretty obvious who did it just going off the comment under Mira's name... speaking of which, she won't be hanging around the lobby too long after putting up the poster but you can find her throughout the day because she is the obvious culprit of these shenanigans.

Wednesday (laundry room)

[After a long hard couple days of shitposting, Mira is now in the Laundry Room washing up her clothes. Every so often she grumbles, not really happy about there being no machines. But this is perhaps the most mellow she has been all week, the excitement of the past two days now worn.]

My damn nails are going to be ruined by all this. What a pain.

I. LOBBY - MONDAY

[Someone has gotten a hold of the newspaper and she's pretty clearly not happy. Velvet knew this before reading it, but seeing it in black and white only angers here more. She crumples the paper into a ball in her hand, but doesn't throw it because littering is bad.]

Who the hell took all the knives?! If you have any, return them to the kitchen! If you're worried about defending yourself, you should be worried about what'll happen to you once I find out you're the reason I can't cut up any apples!


II. STORAGE ROOM - TUESDAY

[If you walk past the storage room, you'll hear lots of rumbling around and general movement sounds. The door is wide open, though, revealing Velvet gathering all the cleaning supplies she can in her arms. And she looks pretty excited about the whole prospect! Until something falls out of her hands and there's no way she can grab it with everything she's carrying at the moment.]

Ugh...


III. SECOND FLOOR HALLWAY - WEDNESDAY

[For the most, she's been trying to deal with the whispers as best she can. Ignore them, get on with her life, and act like nothing's happening. She's heard it all before, after all. But as strong as Velvet is, she can't last forever. On Wednesday, she's crouched in the middle of the hallway, hands over her ears.]

[ heather wasn't here today. not mentally, at least. she was notably absent from the discussion during the trial, unfazed by the treachery that happened at the execution. anyone who saw her today would see that she seems to be floating from place to place, arms crossed with a knife peeking through her fingers.

during her venture out today, she ends up at the newly opened storage room. she takes one step in then immediately steps out, closing the door back. ]

Oh my god. Fuck this. Fuck this to hell.

TWO → LOUNGE, TUESDAY NIGHT

[ heather came here when she felt she would be alone. it was funny how opposite this week was from the last one — she didn't want to venture out under the moon's guise, but now she felt safer when she could be alone. when people were asleep.

either way, if you happen to come to the lounge for a late night hard one (or a virgin daiquiri for our kiddies), you'll find heather on her knees scribbling something vigorously on a wall. occasionally she'll curse and give up on that particular doodle, moving over a few inches to start on another similar one. ]

THREE → HUNTING LODGE, WEDNESDAY EVENING

[ hunting was stupid and guns were stupid. she didn't like them. but sometimes they were useful. today was one of those times. she felt it was unlikely anyone would be here today, so she's here at the shooting range armed with a handgun, earmuffs to mute the sound, and very official looking glasses to protect her eyes, going absolutely ham on targets.

her accuracy is far from perfect, but she usually lands close enough to where it could do some damage if it were a real person, or monster, or whatever hellspawn could be running around. her accuracy might be a bit better if she wasn't screaming while she shot, though. ]

Get out, get out, get out, you bitch! I'm so sick of this!

[ jay has noticed heather's general quietness throughout the weekend, and chose not to comment on it . there's no point in forcing someone to contribute who obviously had nothing to say. he'd choose to avoid her altogether if he didn't so happen decide to check out the storage room at the same exact time she does. ]

[Well that was...a traumatizing experience. If it wasn't because Apollo had his share of awful experiences he'd be worse than he is right now. The thought of being whispered his regrets during the week is not going to be nice, that's for sure.

Monday

The storage is open, and Apollo barges in to investigate everything with INTENSITY. And such investigation yields nothing. Not that he's going to give up easily, though. When you enter you're going to find him surrounded by some of those old mannequin torsos, examining them with appraising expression]

I know the faceless people are alive, but what if these torsos are meant to be like...backups for them? What if they're like mannequins with spells in them?

[Yeah, he's still trying to get the whole magic thing through his head.

Tuesday - Gas Station

The events of Hana's executions were horrible, and as such it was likely to leave an impression in everyone's mind, Apollo included. Trying to ignore the whispers, Apollo goes towards the place where he remembered seeing the name of the lake before. If you enter you'll find him there, rubbing his temple with a hand and holding a brochure about Lake Crotin activities]

Do you think Craftly would let us go to the lake by ourselves anytime soon?

[Us as in everyone, he means, not you and him. Apollo wants to investigate the lake and its surroundings, but he doesn't like the idea of going alone. Going with someone would be better.

Wednesday - City Hall

You may hear a frustrated yell coming from near the city hall. If you approach, you'll find Apollo with a mannequin torso from the storage, throwing it onto one of the windows for the locked rooms. It's not going very well, the glass doesn't show any signs of damage. "Since when is glass so hard to break...?" he thinks to himself.]

Monday - Museum

[Akane is carefully scrutinising every item in the museum, staring from picture to picture as if trying to find some kind of hidden meaning within them.

However, she's acting a little strangely - every now and then, she closes her eyes and takes deep breaths, as if fighting some constant distraction. Her hands, while hanging at her sides, twitch involuntarily.]

Wednesday - Clinic

[By now, her behaviour has gone well past the point of a little strangeness. Her arms are covered in self-induced scratches, many deep enough to draw blood, and she's gone from jittery to flat-out frantic. She's rummaging through the clinic, picking up items and throwing them aside, clearly looking for something.]

Come on, come on, come on...

[You can find her pretty much anywhere in town, though as the week goes on she's becoming increasingly frantic and distressed. Also nothing before Thursday, please!]

[ the constant whispering has gotten worse by the middle of the week and Akira's hopeful enough to assume headache medication may be enough to dull the voices in his head. after scrounging about in the inn for a little while and finding no success, he's made the trip out to the broken down clinic to stock up on drugs that may help him and anyone else dealing with similar symptoms.

he had not, however, expected to find someone else there already. a glance makes him realize that it's Akane, and she seems to be. uh. dealing with stuff. a worried look is on his face as he steps forward, extending an arm out towards her. ]

Akane-san? Is there something I might be able to help you find?

laundry room - monday;
[Later in the day, after encountering Velvet in the lounge, Yukina can be found here. She's wearing something other than her usual outfit - this time, she's got on a pink dress and a jacket. The reason for the change of clothes will probably be immediately obvious, as she's hard at work with the laundry tubs and a washboard, trying to scrub something out of her kimono.]

...why is it not coming out...?

I knew blood stained easily, but...

[She doesn't want to wear a bloodstained kimono?? Let her live.]

[Everyone's gotta eat.

Yukina can't say she really likes the meals here, but... she knows it's important to keep eating, to keep their energy up. So she can regularly be found here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and if she sees anyone coming in, she'll wave them over with a small smile.]

[It's peaceful here.

Sleeping has been difficult. At night, when it's quiet, the whispers seem so much louder, and though she's been trying, she... really hasn't been getting as much sleep as she needs. It's quiet here in the gardens, too, but there's ambient noise, at least.

Which... helps. A little.

She doesn't mean to nap - just to sit down at the fountain's edge and rest her feet while looking at the flowers around her. But she eventually manages to drift off, and she stays that way, dozing lightly, until she shifts just subtly enough to send her off-balance. Her eyes snap open as she realizes what's happening.]

—ah?!

[...but, unfortunately, it's not quickly enough to keep herself from falling. Luckily, there's no water. Unluckily? Marble is hard, and she grimaces as she braces for the impact.]

out in the city - thursday;
[Yukina is clearly restless today. She can't seem to sit still, but she can't seem to focus herself enough to do anything productive, either. Throughout the day she can be found wandering around on the paths out in the city, as if taking a walk would help her clear her mind - but it doesn't.

From time to time, she pauses, shakes her head, and clenches her eyes shut as if trying to block something out.

She keeps coming back to the path outside the gas station, staring at the road leading to Lake Crotin. It's probably not... possible to walk there, at least not safely, but she looks unsettled enough to try. In fact, catch her late enough in the day, and you might see her taking a few steps toward it before drawing back, unable to make up her mind.]

[Light’s been keeping to himself after the execution. His expression is distracted and his body language isn’t as straight as it always is, indicative of how he’s just slouched forward, elbows on the table before him, hands running through his hair. He looks tired, or remorseful, or anything that one might expect of someone who had killed an innocent young woman just a day prior—

(Though the truth of the matter is that he’s irritated, more than anything else.)

Only if you draw near will he speak up, asking:]

Tuesday night; poolside

[He finds himself near the pool again, looking down at the water. It reflects his image back up in uneven waves, and Light frowns. He’s ignoring the whispers in his head, growing louder each day. You should have done better in the trial, they tell him, but he forces them away. They’re not his, these thoughts, and he knows that. Regret? What a laughable notion. Let it claw away at his insides, he’ll just attempt to dismiss them all the same.]

Hey… the water here. [A motion at the pool.] Do you remember when it was murky, earlier? It’s clear again.

Wednesday morning; storage room

[Okay, even Light has to admit that the mannequins are little… disturbing. Perhaps even more so because they don’t seem to have much of place here with everything else.]

What use does a motel have for mannequin torsos? [He says, bending down to pluck one out of the box, ignoring the whispers that still echo in his head. He examines it, but nothing seems out of the ordinary.]

Where’s the rest of its body?

Yes. It's not so bad right now, but if this is like the itching last week it'll get worse and worse.

ONE ― KITCHEN, MONDAY MORNING.

[ it should be clear by now that Akira plans on making this morning coffee thing into a routine. while he likely makes coffee every day, he doesn't make enough to share unless it's the beginning of the week. apparently he is only kind and considerate every now and then?

whatever is the case, he's back at it again on Monday. people familiar with the scent of brewing coffee will notice that it's not as strong or pleasant as normal. it's actually... burnt, almost, as if the brew has been left on for far too long. if anyone steps into the kitchen to make sure there's an attendee, they will indeed find Akira is there. he just so happens to be sitting down on a stool, staring off distantly with no glasses on and a lovely black eye decorating his face. might be in your best interests to remind him to take it off the stove if you want half-decent coffee. ]

TWO ― LAUNDRY ROOM, TUESDAY EVENING.

[ the creepy, faceless men do a good job at cleaning the linens on Saturday, but that doesn't matter much if you spill coffee on the sheets after the fact. Akira's first mistake is thinking he should be fine drinking in the bed, and the second one for pretending that he can focus on such a task when he's got whispers occurring inside of his head. with the tentagent™ (tentacle'd gentleman, aka Craftly) blessing him with a brand new pair of glasses, he hauls his comforter and the sheets underneath to the laundry room to scrub them out to the best of his ability.

whether there are other people in the laundry room or someone that just so happens to be walking by, Akira shoots them a look as if they had been talking to him this entire time. he frowns with Immense Disappointment before replying quietly in return to something no one had actually said: ]

... Stop telling me that I'm too tired to be be doing anything. I can stay awake as long as I want...

THREE ― IN/AROUND ROOM #116, WEDNESDAY EVENING.

[ there's going to be several things here that will be weird to see Akira taking part of. firstly, you may be catching him in the process of dragging one of the mannequin torso's out from the storage room, dragging it alllll the way back to the rooming area to place inside his specifically. or maybe you're lucky to not see the strange occurrence and will just notice the aforementioned mannequin popping in and out of view from the blinds of room #116's window. when it's covered, it's nothing but a silhouette of what seems to be someone standing behind it. when it's pulled to the side, it is very clear it's a mannequin with a pair of glasses that looks awfully like that of Akira's, cracked lens and all.

if you're morbidly curious enough to want to figure out what the hell he's doing, or you're just trying to walk to your room when you see his door open and take a peek inside, you will find Akira ducking back and forth across his room. the mannequin is being placed in several positions, from sitting in a chair facing the window and facing away, leaning against the wall like a cool dude and even. planking. feel free to ask what the heckie is going on. i mean, if you want. ]

[Her room is right next door to his, there's... no way she wasn't going to notice this. Mostly because she's going to open her door to step out just as he's dragging the mannequin past it, since her room is between his and the storage room.]

MONDAY: GAS STATION AND MINIMART (late-morning)

[ After discovering the blood in the lounge? Yeah, suffice to say that Seto's not really looking forward to hanging out in the motel at least for the rest of what passes as daylight hours in the motel. So he's venturing to places that he hasn't managed to investigate or look over through the course of the previous week.

The Gas Station and Minimart is going to be victim to Seto's poking around, actually - he'll probably nick a couple of pamphlets on Lake Crotin (since it was the execution site, and the fog doesn't allow him to cross over to investigate the lake for himself????) and also poke around the minimart to see if there's anything else of note besides completely archaic supplies that may or may not be useless. ]

TUESDAY: POOL AND OUTDOOR DINING AREA

[ ok so if you're in the motel from Tuesday onwards you're going to see Seto seated at one of the tables next to the pool area, staring at a deck of bootleg Duel Monsters cards with terribly drawn stick figure art in lieu of actual painted art - THANKS CRAFTLY - although the flavour text of the cards and the attack/defense values have been left untouched.

small mercies???? it's definitely better than nothing but HE'S JUST GOING TO SEETHE QUIETLY WHEN HE'S FLICKING THROUGH HIS DECK, OK.

why couldn't you have given him his original cards, craftly, it's not like he can summon giant holograms of them or anything you know. ]

[Really Andersen shouldn't have let Jake talk him into this and quite probably he'll come to regret it, especially given this week's theme of terrors. Still, despite everything that's happened, Jake is trying hard to remain optimistic.

He picked this one simply because it appealed to him most and that's about it. He has the scalpel he picked up from the clinic, as well as a fork, just in case they have to pry nails off anything. He really, really wishes he had his guns on him, though. But, well, sometimes risks are necessary and despite their purpose here there is a serious lack of guns available.]

My theory, you see, is that a fire ravaged the town but for some reason they didn't rebuild these buildings. So, perhaps solving that puzzle may help us.

[Jake is explaining his Adventurer's Logic to Andersen as he cases the building with him, frowning at the front. Right, they could try to get in there but...]

Let's find the least perilous entrance, shall we? Perhaps around the back. a) monday, lounge

[following the events of the weekend, chie is looking a little worse for the wear, though that doesn't seem to be an uncommon sentiment. it doesn't take much to notice that her legs are of the most concern, with bruises and splinters covering most of her calves. she doesn't seem too bothered by it, but she wobbles a little whenever she gets up to walk.

right now, she's sitting in the lounge, holding her head and shutting her eyes as hard as she can to try and block out the whispers. every now and then, she utters a name under her breath; it's always the same name, always in the same strained tone.]

b) wednesday, pool

[taking advantage of the facilities provided to them, she's doing laps at the pool, any concerns about the quality of the water or the state of her legs be damned. thanks to the amenities she's received from the hotel, she's actually adequately equipped for the water, outfitted with an athletic swimsuit and some generic sports drinks. every couple sets, she takes a break at the shallow end of the pool, relaxing as she rests against the wall, sighing as she wipes her brow.]

Say what you want about the motel... at least they deliver.

c) thursday, again at the pool

[by thursday, chie is starting to feel the full effects of sleep deprivation. she looks dazed and confused, as if she's in a trance, while she exits her room; once again, she is periodically uttering the name from before. right before lunch, she can be spotted heading to the pool, already changed and towel slung over her shoulder... even though by this point, the water has begun to change. she hasn't noticed that, though.

she's crouched at the edge of the pool and she's about to dip her foot into the sludge when she seemingly comes back to her senses, eyes wide but no longer glossy.]

[now aware of her surroundings, she takes a second to take everything in... then yelps and scrambles as far back as she can from the sickening liquid.]

[ pretty much the first thing dave does today, after a short session strategizing or whatever with dirk, is drag the other strider out to the nearest burned building. he's fairly quiet about it, even as they locate the most likely looking door, although at that point he waves dirk back; he'll try to kick it in on his own first and only accept help if he can't manage it.

assuming they break the door down, he'll peer inside cautiously and only step forward when he's certain it's chill, watching for traps with the paranoia of a kid who...well, grew up in an apartment with Too Many Traps and random ninja battles. god. dirk is Supposed to stick to his back to guard that, are you following the rules, dirk. ]

If this is a puppet factory I'm gonna need you to murder me. [ muttered quietly, but just to say Something. though also he's serious. fingers crossed for no puppets! the new room with mannequins is bad enough. burn the mannequins, someone. ]

[Because Dave is more important than puppets, obviously (to only Dirk I guess). Dirk begrudgingly takes the back to guard Dave, because the rules are annoying and he's worried but, you know. Dave will never let him go on another stupid exploring adventure again if he breaks the rules, he is pretty sure. Better to have to take the back and get a chance to protect Dave again than throw that opportunity.

Dirk is also incredibly hyperaware. He did not have bullshit ninja traps and battles, but he did build robots to surprise ambush and try to kill him, plus all that time on planet with really rude skeleton monsters. He is very On Alert.]

[ If anyone goes into the large auditorium in the back of the building, they... may be shocked. Laying still as death is Chiaki Nanami. Her purple hair lay sprawled out and her face looking directly towards the ceiling. No sound is made — you'd have to come closer to see if the girl was harmed.

...If you finally reach the end of the stage, looking up, you'll see the girl was actually passed completely out. Like. Deadass tired.

[ Later in the day, Chiaki found herself seated lazily in one of the booths. The sound of familiar song plays in the background. It's very obnoxious, but she's actually a bit distressed. She's worried about a few people that have gone missing — particularly Jake. He had been kind to her with the previous itch and this was the only way she could blast out the whispers scolding her for not leading her classmates better.

She's scribbling on a notepad. Poorly, but it's — actually notes of some such. At the top it reads: WALKTHROUGH TO YUGGOTH.

[ He's doing ordinary things (in a shirt)! Like reading books, the newspaper, or some of the tourist pamphlets because... reading helps take your mind off the inevitable things this week has in store. He actually hasn't taken notice of a certain list by Mira yet, but when anyone is in the lobby, he asks, half-genuinely: ]

Why do I feel like I'm being being stared at more than usual...?

[ Nagasone is in the kitchen reading a recipe book, leaning on the table. By him are a few sprigs of white flowers, a kettle. He's using his fringe to hide the lack of sleep on his face, but speaks in a soft tone. ]

It might not help with the nightmares... but it's good for sleep and relaxing your nerves, apparently. I can pour you some if you want it.

THURSDAY AFTERNOON - AROUND?
[ So being sleep deprived can make you rather off-kilter. Nagasone won't say anything of the regrets, but he has enough to keep him up at night. It finally comes to this, and for most of Thursday he's quiet and listless.

However, sometimes if a person passes by him, he'll suddenly take a hold of them. Grabbing an arm, shoulders, and if said person is young they get a hand on their head. ]

[ He's got enough people in his life back home and in the past to make him mistake a motel guest for them, because they sure do say things in his head to catch his attention, and right now he can't tell if it's actually whispered around him or in his head now. ]

MONDAY - STORAGE
[ Ryou is still not fully recovered from the weekend. He needs a distraction. A new area to explore sates that need, while keeping him relatively close to other people. Witnesses, in case anything happened - even though it's only Monday, and the rules explicitly state that murder wouldn't happen on this day. Ryou is still tired and paranoid. It's clear as he continually keeps checking the door to the storage room as he rummages through the shelves and boxes.

Once he finds the box with the mannequin torsos, his attention focuses on the task of arranging them in such a way that he could maybe build something. He stops watching the door and he tries to rummage further and check the nearby shelves. ]

Mmm... There's no arms or legs in here, I wonder where they could be.

[ Don't mind him looking for fake body parts while other fake body parts surround his feet. ]


THURSDAY - LOUNGE
[ Well, the night terrors are certainly living up to their name and terrorizing Ryou. This poor kid has spend the majority of the week constantly trying to get away from the noise in his head - while it had been subtle on Monday, even starting his morbid mannequin project had offered a kind of relief. With the voices getting louder, more persistent, sleep eludes him and Ryou spends his days (as well as nights) wallowing in guilt and dwelling on things long done and over with. It never stops eating at him.

He's not even sure why he's in the lounge or even what day it is anymore, being as sleep deprived as he is. The moment he sits down to rest, however, and he's dozing. Now he's dead asleep and sliding onto the floor. He doesn't care, he just wants to sleep, even if that means being sprawled awkwardly on the lounge floor. ]

[That, uh, doesn't look comfortable. Like. At all.

Also, it's Thursday. Is it even safe for him to be here alone? She remembers what Mira told her the day before, and though it's not exactly the same thing (Bakura isn't outside)... it's close enough.

So rather than leave him be, she steps carefully into the room, then goes to grab some of the cushioned seats from the bar, pushing them together until there's a long line of them that should fit Bakura on it. Next, she kneels down next to where he's awkwardly sprawled out and tries to take hold of him to lift him up.

If he's going to sleep in a place like this, she'd like him to at least not wake up with a crick in his neck.

Luckily, Bakura is pretty light - he's nearly a full foot taller than her, and only twenty pounds or so heavier. Unluckily, she's a 4'10" weakling, which means... even as she tries not to wake him, she's struggling to actually get him up.

And yet, it is a tall chair that has been unmanned, and so Suzaku has decided to park himself there. And there he will remain, his hands steeped in contemplation before narrowed eyes as he thinks. He might look imposing if he wasn't looming over a swimming pool. No splashing, kids.]

[Anyone stumbling across him in the kitchen will find him...at the entrance to the walk-in freezer? He's seriously just standing there with one hand keeping the door open, staring at th hanging meats with a very intense look on his face. It would be easy enough to ignore him and move on--he'll probably ignore you in turn unless you draw attention to yourself, but also, it's getting kind of cold in here.]

[By Thursday, the whispered voices are getting almost too much for even Suzaku to bear, the weight of his failures and the mistakes he made underestimating his enemies that brought them weighing on him. As normal, he brings himself to the diner to distract himself with eerie musical tracks...but it isn't enough. He can be found sitting by the jukebox with his hands gripped in his hair, eyes clenched tight.]
