( MINGLE - WEEK 2 )
![]() The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it seems like the Storage room has unlocked itself overnight. How quaint. Welcome to Week 2's mingle, everyone! As of this week, we are now accepting murder proposals. If you're interested in having your character murder someone this week, please send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. We'll be contacting you on plurk over the week to finalize the details, or ask for rescheduling if necessary. As always, feel free to PM us or send us a PP over plurk if you have any questions! ic rulebook | locations | statuses | room assignments private conversations | ic profiles | graveyard | full navigation |

[ Somewhere around brunch, Omega stands up from her seat and rings her fork against her glass of water… over and over again, to the point where it could call for everyone in the proximity. ]
I have an announcement! I had a talk with Craftly about the Ghost.
[ She clears her throat, to make sure everyone knows this is really important news. ]
I’ve been personally promised that for all further trials, the Ghost’s involvement will be made known to everyone if they do commit a murder. In Craftly’s words, there will be clarity if a role like the Ghost is used on the victims. And he also said that… it’d be easy to narrow it down from the pool of suspects.
Please, tell everyone who isn’t here. I know that was a source of anger for a lot of us, yours truly included. Now we know we’re not just sitting ducks anymore, and the Ghost knows we aren’t either.
Storage room
[ Of course she'd want to investigate the new room! But she seems disappointed it's only cleaning supplies and creepy mannequin torsos... unlike her fellow kleptomaniacs, she doesn't take anything just yet. After all, she can make her own damn bed and her bathroom so far is spotless. ]
Hmm... what a waste. I was hoping there'd be something cool in here!
Botanical Gardens
[ Though there wasn't much for her to see before, Omega is looking around for orange flowers. Every time she sees one, she snips it at the base and adds it to the bouquet she has in hand. Her face is pensive and nostalgic, like someone whose had their cellphone taken away and is sorely missing their best homie.
Which would be exactly the case here, as she digs around for some white flowers to stick on the bouquet, too. ]
wildcard
[ She'll be wandering around wherever on all sorts of days, just trying to check everything out, so feel free to stop her in the halls or in one of the buildings in the town! ]

Cleaning fanatics would surely be insulted by that.

[ She shrugs, though. ] Then again, if we dumped them all, more than a few people would be upset.

Dining Hall
[ a sigh. ]
It works in our favor, I suppose. Any game requires rules. Thank you for your initiative.

botanical garden
[She's not surprised to see someone here, really. The garden is a peaceful place, and everyone is going to be in dire need of peace after the weekend they've just had.
But the sight of Omega with a bouquet of flowers is... somewhat unexpected, she has to admit. Still, she's done a good job arranging them, and Yukina smiles a faintly.]
That's a lovely arrangement.

[ She looks at the arrangement somewhat forlornly, the big white blossoms in the middle of a bunch of orange blooms. She tucks her hair behind her ear, turning it around as she looks it over. ]
It reminds me of my best friend.
no subject
I see... um, what is your friend like? If you don't mind my asking...

dining
[ Though the way Rachel says it with a frown indicates she isn't quite over it yet. ]
Re: dining
I just don't like that I was made a fool of. That we all were. And that Hana had to die because of it.
storage room
Do you think so? The mannequins look like they could be fun.
[You know, to scare someone shitless.]
no subject
[ She's still very much a prankster at heart. ]
Wonder what they're for.
no subject
Ah— That's not a bad idea at all! People would be really spooked now if they found one like that in their room, wouldn't they?
[itp i, kyuu, rp one of my character finding my other character's death funny. stay tuned for more soft saya.]
I don't think they're for anything... Unless that Innkeeper wants us to use them as props. But that sounds like a lot of work.

If we were just dealing with - how things were last week... We wouldn't have a chance.

[Mabel's Intrigued]

[ She sounds SUPER CONFIDENT in this technique!! ]
no subject
[but Omega will have to settle for a high five in the meantime, because Mabel's giving her one]
Hey, do you think we could use that tried and true technique to get anything we want? Like.... a bouncy castle, or a way out of here?

Dining Hall
Splendid! I can only imagine what the Ghost must be thinking.
[He hopes that they're sweating a little. Not that he was angry or anything about the murder, but he's in no way liked the idea that someone could just take any of them over at any moment. Such a cheap trick.]
no subject
[ Or else they're going to risk getting snuffed out really easily. The only way to survive is not to play. ]
But I hope we do get them.
