( MINGLE - WEEK 2 )
![]() The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it seems like the Storage room has unlocked itself overnight. How quaint. Welcome to Week 2's mingle, everyone! As of this week, we are now accepting murder proposals. If you're interested in having your character murder someone this week, please send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. We'll be contacting you on plurk over the week to finalize the details, or ask for rescheduling if necessary. As always, feel free to PM us or send us a PP over plurk if you have any questions! ic rulebook | locations | statuses | room assignments private conversations | ic profiles | graveyard | full navigation |

thursday
Also, it's Thursday. Is it even safe for him to be here alone? She remembers what Mira told her the day before, and though it's not exactly the same thing (Bakura isn't outside)... it's close enough.
So rather than leave him be, she steps carefully into the room, then goes to grab some of the cushioned seats from the bar, pushing them together until there's a long line of them that should fit Bakura on it. Next, she kneels down next to where he's awkwardly sprawled out and tries to take hold of him to lift him up.
If he's going to sleep in a place like this, she'd like him to at least not wake up with a crick in his neck.
Luckily, Bakura is pretty light - he's nearly a full foot taller than her, and only twenty pounds or so heavier. Unluckily, she's a 4'10" weakling, which means... even as she tries not to wake him, she's struggling to actually get him up.
Struggling, but trying.]

His panic, however, is relatively brief and once the familiar face registers, he's quick to calm down. ]
Yukina? What are you doing here?
[ Now he actually. Sits up and looks around to take stock of where he is. ]

[He does smack her, right on the cheek, but... it's an accident, so it's fine. She takes a step back while he calms down, giving him a chance to take in his surroundings.]
...I was passing by and I saw you... um, asleep on the floor. It didn't look very comfortable...

If you had left me I probably would have been okay. It didn't wake me up, so it couldn't have been that uncomfortable.
[ "Probably" he says, rubbing his eyes. ]

[And because of that - her expression becomes a little contrite as she realizes... he had probably really needed the rest. Oops.]
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you...! I hope you managed to get at least a little rest...

[ I mean he's basically a sitting target?? ]
