SURVIVORS: 40 The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it seems like the Storage room has unlocked itself overnight. How quaint. Welcome to Week 2's mingle, everyone! As of this week, we are now accepting murder proposals. It's something we're going to have to figure out either way. Especially after the mess we made last weekend.

Think the Ghost will strike again?

Maybe, but... It would probably be too risky if they did it so soon. After all, a lot of us did think there was a high chance of it being the Ghost on Saturday, we just had no idea how to back that claim. Everyone is going to be on edge and will probably be more mindful of that role from now on, so if they try killing again so quickly then instead of focusing on just the person they possess, we'll look at everyone else with suspicion.

Agreed. Though, as goes without saying, it depends on how smart the Ghost is or isn't. Maybe they haven't thought this through as much as you have.

If I got outsmarted by someone who didn't at least put this much thought into this plan, I am not going to be very happy.

[disinterested]

To be fair, the odds are against us.

[ninjay]

I still haven't figured out how we were supposed to find the right killer last week.

[disinterested]

Pray for Lady Luck to smile upon us?

[ninjay]

I feel like the only luck that will reach us here is the bad sort.

[ GESTURES AT THE BLOOD?? ]

Then I suppose we have no choice but to roll over and accept our fate.

[ninjay]

Now that is not what I said. There's a difference between acknowledging our situation is a terrible one, and accepting it.

[disinterested]

So you're determined to change things?

[ninjay]

I would rather try than just accept that there's no other way out of this. Even if turns out that we have no choice but to do as the rules exactly state, I'd feel better with myself.
