( MINGLE - WEEK 2 )

SURVIVORS: 40 The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it seems like the Storage room has unlocked itself overnight. How quaint. Welcome to Week 2's mingle, everyone! As of this week, we are now accepting murder proposals. If you're interested in having your character murder someone this week, please send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. All I'm saying is if you changed your wardrobe and cut your hair, you'd look a lot better overall.

[ninjay]

I'm not cutting my hair.

[ that's... not a no to the wardrobe though. ]

Then at least change the hair-do. The side-tail is really odd looking. [She pauses and takes her own hairs to her hair, trying to demonstrate a proper ponytail that starts from the top of the back] See, if you pulled it back like I do, it'd make your front better off.

[ninjay]

[ he subconsciously reaches for his own ponytail, lightly pulling at the end of it. ]

I'll think about it.

[perceptions]

If you take my suggestion, I'll be happy to style your hair for you.

[ninjay]

[ he doesn't see!!! what's wrong with his appearance!!

but people keep making jokes so :(c ]

... Alright, fine.

[perceptions]

Great! Don't worry Jay, I'll make you look great. Maybe I should dress you like a tiny Sherlock.

[ninjay]

I am going to have to pass on that second thing.

[ he has no idea what sherlock looks like ]

[perceptions]

Aw, but I'd give you a cute little hat, tiny pipe and cape. You would look adorable.

[ninjay]

What does he look like, exactly...?

[ he's trying to imagine this but the description is vague enough he's ??? ]

[perceptions]

Um...

[She turns around to her poster and in a free corner of it, she uses her marker to draw a crude scribble drawing of Sherlock. It's just a man with a tiny pipe, cape-coat and frumpy hat.]

See he looks a little like this. He solves mysteries and catches criminals. Kind of like what we're doing.

[ninjay]

[ oh that doesn't look that bad... ]

If I say yes to this, I won't end up regretting it later, will I?

[perceptions]

I make zero promises toward how you will feel. I'm no good at predicting those things.

Oh well. I guess that means it'll be a surprise.
