SURVIVORS: 40 The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it seems like the Storage room has unlocked itself overnight. How quaint. Welcome to Week 2's mingle, everyone! As of this week, we are now accepting murder proposals. [ all throughout tuesday, you can find jay literally everywhere. he seems to be looking around for something. or someone! late monday night at around 11 pm he most definitely knocked on everyone's door in search for his roommate? i'm sorry he's rude and doesn't care about your sleep schedule.

early evening on tuesday, he is especially agitated, especially after finding out someone else's roommate has mysteriously disappeared. so if you're passing by the front desk and lobby area, you'll hear an announcement. ]

Jake and Anderson are missing.

[ jay's mood has definitely not gotten any better. in fact, he's even more annoyed. right now he is taking that annoyance out on the jukebox in the diner. you can find him going through each song. it probably would look pretty casual, if not for how much force he puts in when he presses the button to play a different song.

Monday Evening- Big Belly Diner

[coming from the diner in the afternoon, one might here the dulcet sound of Icelandic pop singer sensation BABBA and her greatest hit: "Disco Girl". Also, there's a twelve year old boy singing along. Spoiler: it's Dipper. He's up on what's left of the counter, seemingly trying to check what's up behind it? Or maybe he's looking at the ceiling? It's hard to tell, but he is definitely just ... singing as he works.]

Tuesday - Lobby

[anyone passing by the lobby will be overjoyed to overhear an argument between literal babies, because Dipper and Mabel are being Loud, standing in the middle of the lobby with what appears to be half-drawn party invitations and a couple of birthday hats made from paper:]

I’m telling you, we’re thirteen already!

And I’m telling you, time was stopped in Gravity Falls, which is the only dimension that matters, so we can’t be thirteen!

[Mabel rolls her eyes and gives Dipper a little shove]

Ummm, then why is it Tuesday when yesterday was Monday? Time is obviously moving, here! And we’re here, so this is the dimension that matters! Duh doy!

[Dipper gives her a little shove right back]

If time is moving why doesn’t the sun ever set? Just because they’re changing dates doesn’t mean time is passing here! --And even ignoring all the time stuff, do you really think this is the time for a party?!

Quit being such a nerd, Dipper! All times are for partying, that’s why the phrase “party time” exists!

Wednesday Morning - Lounge

[on a table in the lounge is one Dipper Pines, sitting down and studiously doing his... home...work? Wait, what? It's hard to see if this is what he's doing, but it sure looks like it: he's surrounded by pens, papers, notebooks, a school ruler and even worse; graph paper. The absolute horror. Currently, he's also angrily mashing a ... calculator?

And now he's angrily talking to it. Oh boy. That's normal.]

What's the point of a calculator that doesn't even work properly!? I can't believe I gave this place two stars for this!

[that seems like a you problem, dipper. might want to. stop talking so loudly. and being a nerd so loudly. and ... looking like you're seconds away from crying over a calculator?

Besides I don't think time's passing. I don't know much about the stories Lovecr--that author wrote, but it wouldn't be a stretch to think we're in some kind of zone with frozen time, right? Like in that series, the Dusk Zone.

[If Rocko instead of Rocky and Claw of the Tiger instead of Eye of the Tiger exist in the AA universe, who says other distortions of popular stuff doesn't?

Besides it would be convenient, with frozen time nobody at home would notice their absence]

So anyway, here's Yukina. She's about the furthest thing you can get from a hunter (let's be real, she'd probably cry enough jewels for to eliminate a country's national debt if she had to shoot a bunny for food), but it's Tuesday afternoon and she's a little restless, and she thinks that going to the hunting lodge won't kill her.

So, while she's looking around, she makes the monumentally unsound decision of heading into the shooting range without first giving warning to whoever's in there. She doesn't think anyone will be there, actually, so when she sees someone, she gasps.]

[ upon venturing into the lobby, you'll see a clothesline has been pulled taught over the doorway. from it hangs two black origami cranes, and attached to each, written in marker, is a drawing of tarot cards. "THE STAR" for "HANA SONG" and "KING OF SWORDS" for "JASON TODD."

a paper frogs leaps into your view, and if you follow the starting point, you'll see hajime, smiling lightly and sincerely. on her cheeks are four pink triangles; like dva's, but smaller, thinner. looks like she went for the naruto look, actually. ]

[ in the morning, hajime can be spotted hauling a bucket to and from the hotel - each time she does, the bucket is full of water. hmmmm. maybe this is worth investigating, or... maybe you'll do the nice thing and help her out? ]

[ with the fountain full of water now, hajime's busying herself with making flower crowns - there's a piece of paper stuck to the remains of a gazebo that reads "flower accessories!!!!!!!" with lots of little sunflowers drawn on it. it's not the same handwriting that's in the lobby, though.

[ It's not that hard for Ryou to be dumb and unguarded: he's barely been sleeping, he's just kinda moving for the sake of moving and definitely not sleeping. At first, when he comes across the fountain, he thinks he's hallucinating-- but then he's pitched face-first into the suds, and they are very much real.

WEDNESDAY MORNING.
[ Good morning. If you're out and about this morning, you'll be treated to the sight of Kamui opening the door leading outside of the motel, taking a look around with one hand shading his eyes, and then pulling out an umbrella.

Except the umbrella itself is small. Comically so, to the point where it manages to throw some shade over half of his face. Kamui, on the other hand, doesn't seem to be noticing it at all, and is going to cheerfully wave to whoever is admiring this spectacle. ]

ALL DAYS.
[ From wherever you are, you can be assured that there are certainly some gross crumbs landing on you. If you look up, you'll see Kamui munching down on food from both hands, from his perch.

He likes sitting up high. No matter where it is. He also doesn't care about how messy he's being... I'm sorry. ]
