( MINGLE - WEEK 2 )
![]() The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it seems like the Storage room has unlocked itself overnight. How quaint. Welcome to Week 2's mingle, everyone! As of this week, we are now accepting murder proposals. If you're interested in having your character murder someone this week, please send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. We'll be contacting you on plurk over the week to finalize the details, or ask for rescheduling if necessary. As always, feel free to PM us or send us a PP over plurk if you have any questions! ic rulebook | locations | statuses | room assignments private conversations | ic profiles | graveyard | full navigation |

[ he shakes his head. ]
We can't just immediately assume that without any more context.
no subject
[lifts a hand and scratches the back of his head]
If that's true, then does that mean another role is manipulating the Ghost? Assuming this is the work of said Ghost, that is.
no subject
[ ... ]
Well. Anyone smart. But if we take this message literally, then it means the Ghost [ or whoever the fuck wrote this ] is at least talking to someone who somehow knew Hana's role.
no subject
[a note of frustration in his words]
Hana said she didn't tell anyone, and I believe her.
no subject
[ it would have been suicide to keep quiet about it if she had told someone. ]
We probably need to figure out exactly who this mother is, I suppose.
no subject
[frustrated grump, and he rakes a hand through his hair]
Guess we do. But s'not like that'll be easy to do when we know literally nothing about her.
no subject
[ jay doesn't sound too happy about it either, but sometimes you have to appreciate the scraps. ]
no subject
I feel a li'l bit like a dog who gets excited when their master feeds 'em table scraps.
[HE SAYS DRYLY]

This sorta hairstyle is in right now, I hope you know.
[yeah because Jay cares about how modern teenagers style their hair]
no subject
Is there a hairbrush shortage where you're from or something?
no subject
At least I don't dress like I'm some sorta clown from a circus.
[are you. sure about that, Kaitou Kid]
no subject
[ this is debatable ]
no subject
[PONYTAIL. . . that's not even a clever nickname, Kaito]
no subject
Jay.
no subject
I like Ponytail better.
[folds his arms and nods. IS NOW REALLY THE TIME TO BE MAKING JOKES]
no subject
but jay is just going to take the pencil he used to rewrite the message and just
gently
throw it in kaito's face ]
no subject
[the pencil sails over his head and probably lands on the ground somewhere behind him, good luck finding it later]
Hoooooh, so close.
no subject
no subject
[that one thunks against his forehead, right between his eyes]
-- ow!
no subject
[ he glances towards where the pencil landed.
worth it. ]
no subject
Fine, Jay.
no subject
[ he's even smiling he's so glad. ]
no subject
[picks it up]
[throws it back to Jay]
no subject
