( MINGLE - WEEK 2 )
![]() The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it seems like the Storage room has unlocked itself overnight. How quaint. Welcome to Week 2's mingle, everyone! As of this week, we are now accepting murder proposals. If you're interested in having your character murder someone this week, please send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. We'll be contacting you on plurk over the week to finalize the details, or ask for rescheduling if necessary. As always, feel free to PM us or send us a PP over plurk if you have any questions! ic rulebook | locations | statuses | room assignments private conversations | ic profiles | graveyard | full navigation |

wednesday.
[maybe Quer should announce herself when she enters a room, but she hasn't gotten the hint just yet. instead, she followed the noise to the diner, and saw a girl - one she hadn't talked to - sitting there. snooping was then the best option, and with the music, it's easy to slip behind her before she speaks.]

...It's kind of like a guide. Walkthroughs are popular with people playing games... it lets them follow the events and know how to play without missing special items or secret areas.
[ A pause. ]
If Yuggoth is a game... and Craftly said there's been others... I want the future participants, if there are any, to have a guide to follow.

[Quer turns her head, looking the girl over. hm. this one was...Chia-something. she'll remember when she looks at the profiles again. since she kept to herself, she hadn't been one Quer remembered from last week.]
Where are you going to hide it, when you're done? Can't imagine Craftly being happy if he sees that all of this has been made easier.

[ But, when she asks about where she's hiding it — ]
I'm thinking on that. I don't want to leave it in my room because we had to wait for them to "prepare our rooms" for a while when we arrived... They probably change the sheets and stuff.
[ A thoughtful hum. ]
Where would you leave it?

[maybe behind the jukebox? but she doesn't have a word for it, so Quer has to gesture at it instead.]

[ She's offering a smile, eyeing the jukebox. ]
The foot traffic alone is worth something. ...I mean, the game could completely change the city when the next... whatever this is starts. Maybe this place won't even be here?
[ A pause. ]
It's worth the risk, though. I'm sure we both would have liked a guide when figuring things out.

[she doesn't sound like she's complaining - only stating fact. it's not that she's jealous, but she would appreciate being someone who had all the information gifted to them.]
