( MINGLE - WEEK 2 )
![]() The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it seems like the Storage room has unlocked itself overnight. How quaint. Welcome to Week 2's mingle, everyone! As of this week, we are now accepting murder proposals. If you're interested in having your character murder someone this week, please send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. We'll be contacting you on plurk over the week to finalize the details, or ask for rescheduling if necessary. As always, feel free to PM us or send us a PP over plurk if you have any questions! ic rulebook | locations | statuses | room assignments private conversations | ic profiles | graveyard | full navigation |

LOUNGE
SHE HAD TO DIE.
[Below it, a symbol has similarly been drawn in blood.]

Cryptic.

Charming idea of home decor, isn't it?

[ jay pockets the notebook once he's done. ]
I wonder who "mother" is.

[ which is rude? they already fucked up, let them live. ]
If it is the Ghost though, I wonder why they did this.

[Mira just grimaces when she sees all the blood in the room. The message isn't any better - though the symbol is certainly interesting.]
Whoever the hell "mother" is, she better be cleaning up this damn mess.
[She can't drink in peace when this room looks like shit >:/]
no subject
[This small child who proooobably shouldn't be here is staring at the symbol in blood]
Wait, wait, wait. "Mother"? What the heck?!
[lil Gideon, get it together] Yeeeesh, and here I thought he couldn't get any creepier.

She's not here to daydrink (probably), but this is also the last thing she expects to see (or smell) when she steps into the lounge, and she lets out a startled shriek before clapping her hands over her mouth as she stumbles back out into the hall.]
Wh-what...

It's blood. The fluid that generally flows from a human's body when injured?

[Which is the only verbal response she deems necessary. Immediately after, she busts out some cleaning supplies and gets to work scrubbing everything down. This technically isn't evidence or anything, so who really cares.]

[ that is his way of saying hello. he tries to spend less time looking at the actual message left behind and more focusing on the mess. Akira made a point of wearing dark, unassuming clothes for the sole purpose of never wanting to wear them again, so. ]
Would you mind if I borrow some of your cleaning supplies? I'd like to lend a hand.

So the Ghost was under orders from someone else?
We'd do well to remember this symbol in the future.
[Not that he expects anyone to forget it, because good lord, what dramatics.]
no subject
That is an abomination.
[ She sounds awfully angry. ]
