SURVIVORS: 40

The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors.

The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel.

And speaking of the motel, it seems like the Storage room has unlocked itself overnight. How quaint.

[She's definitely bothered about how close he is, but won't voice it just yet. These things need to be handled with some refinement, as she has come to understand. Shoving him back and away might make him hold a grudge. She doesn't want to make people angry here. It's better to get along.]

Sure. [She pushes her chair off to the side, creating the space she desired without embarrassing Akira, and lets him take a look at her notes.] It's not at all finished though.

[The paper will have some names, all people in the game, and numbers out of them. The numbers are clearly marked X/10, so that it's clear some kind of ranking is going on. There are some comments about their physical attributes and personalities as well.]

[ Mira, he's been punched in the face for taking a dead boy's mask before proceeding to give it back to the aforementioned dead boy's roommates. if she happened to push him, he would likely be the one apologized. you are Okay.

regardless, he silently takes note of how she distances herself from him and takes her notes as she offers them. he runs his hand through his hair to slick it back, not wanting to stain her precious documentation with water. ]

Well, this is interesting... [ it takes all of five seconds to realize what this might be. when the number '10' and people are put together, there's only one outcome. ] ... Are you rating people based on their attractiveness?

[ he doesn't sound particularly judgmental. there's actually a bit of a glint in his eyes as he looks up to Mira, as if there are gears in his brain that are churning. continue humoring him for a little bit longer. ]

Yeah, exactly. It's an idea I got when everyone was stripping during the trial. [Which, out of context, must sound like a lot of fun. In context, it was obviously not a fun time at all.] I figure we should have a little bit of fun if we're stuck in murder city right?

When you describe it like that, I almost feel like I was at the wrong trial.

[ there were a lot of bare abs and bras out in the open, though. Akira doesn't know whether he wants to be amused or upset that it served as inspiration for this. regardless... ]

Right. May I borrow your pen? Just in case you're worried, my one stipulation is that I do not alter anything you put down for me.

[ he isn't even really going to alter what she's written down, really. just going to add some notes of his own is all. no big deal. ]

[She offers the pen to him freely.]

Just don't scratch out anything I wrote, or write over any of it, and you're free to do as you wish.

[Mostly she's curious to see what he wants to put down.]

I would never. This is yours, after all.

[ he will happily take the pen from her and begins to scribble down a few things that comes to mind immediately. this goes on for a good thirty seconds of absolute silence before he snaps his head back up to Mira, as if a thought had struck him suddenly. ]

Hey. Do you think Craftly-san would be better off with or without the tentacles, attraction-wise? I know it fits a certain aesthetic, but I don't know how... practical... it would be...

Hm... I would leave the tentacles were they are. It adds a charm to him I think. He wouldn't be Craftly without them.

So you have a thing for tentacles. I understand.

[ don't mind him as he just... scribbles a few more thoughts on the paper. or wait. is that his palm? does he not want Mira to see it?? who knows. ]

[Wow! Just for that she's going to jab his side with the heel of her shoe.]

Don't be a smartass.

[ that heel is sharp?? like. don't go doing that unless you're stepping on people's faces, Mira. it's rude. ] I don't hear any denials... [ Akira whispers that part out as he continues jotting some other things down. moving along: ]

You seem to have rated both Percival-san and Kotetsu-san equally. I would have to disagree. Kotetsu-san has nicer hair.

[she's not stepping on you man, you're underaged :/]

Huh? No way. Percival is the only guy I've met who can make long hair work. That's an accomplishment in of itself.
