SURVIVORS: 40 The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it seems like the Storage room has unlocked itself overnight. How quaint. Welcome to Week 2's mingle, everyone! As of this week, we are now accepting murder proposals. Craftly gets eight stars? Really?

[Somehow it stings a bit that he's ranked below someone with tentacles sprouting out of his back. Oh well. It's not like he's the only one below Craftly]

Well I wasn't originally gonna include him, but he did let me hang this up on the wall so I figure I give him a fair assessment. [She leans past Apollo and waves toward the front desk, though it's not clear if Craftly even notices her.] He has a really handsome face, like the kind from those old black and white movies.

I guess if you ignore the tentacles he can be somewhat handsome, he does look like someone from many decades ago. Maybe he didn't have those back then.

You think he was a normal guy once? It's pretty funny to imagine him being a baby and having tiny tentacle appendages.

Perhaps he did, or perhaps you're right and he always had those tentacles. How do you take care of a baby with tentacles? It can't be just like any other baby, right?

[Apollo really can't imagine a baby Craftly, that man is so old...also why's he playing along this silly discussion, he doesn't know -- but it feels a bit nostalgic to him, like he wishes he was doing this back at home]

Maybe it's like taking care of a tiny little squid? The tentacles can wrap around things, so it wouldn't be stopped by not having thumbs. [She pauses, a thought coming up that gets a snicker out of her.] Ok, but imagine a baby Craftly... who just has the same face as he does right now.

...let's not give them ideas for next week's psychological torture.
