( MINGLE - WEEK 2 )

SURVIVORS: 40 The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it seems like the Storage room has unlocked itself overnight. How quaint. Welcome to Week 2's mingle, everyone! As of this week, we are now accepting murder proposals. Yeah. As far as I know, Andersen doesn't have any enemies. I mean, it'd be hard to make one in a little over a week. Plus, I'm sure I would have heard about it as his roomie.

I honestly cannot imagine Jake being on anyone's bad side.

[ like he is doing his best to try to picture jay becoming enemies with anyone and. he truly cannot. the guy is too friendly. ]

Maybe they found some sort of secret passage and got lost? Or... hm.

Do you suppose something like that could happen? Murders are supposed to be on the weekend, so... maybe they really did disappear? What if a new place opened up and they're hiding there? Can't blame anyone for hiding.

I don't think so. I don't know Jake too well, obviously, but I know him enough to understand that he really isn't the type of character to make people worry like this. I'm positive that if he had some sort of plan to vanish for a bit, he would have warned me about it.

You never know. Humans are really good at playing stupid a little too well...

[ninjay]

He's not stupid.

[ he says that firmly. jay is the first person to call someone stupid, honestly, but he knows jake isn't. ]

Even if he's keeping things from me, which is likely, I know, the fact that he's going to end up worrying the people who he knows back home is something that I find unlikely.

[ She feels like this is the only answer to Jay's defense of Jake. ]

He's been banned from saying that.

Still, I know what you mean... Andersen is a reliable guy, this isn't like him.

Well, let's hope that we both get our roommates back soon. It's awfully inconvenient to not have one here.
