( MINGLE - WEEK 3 )

SURVIVORS: 36 The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it doesn't seem like there's anything out of the ordinary on this lovely Monday morning. How quaint. As a reminder, we are now accepting murder proposals for Week 3! [Anyone who swings by the pool on Thursday will find Velvet Crowe submerged in the waters, despite their foul odor and sludge-like consistency. It doesn't seem like she's able to get out.]

[Dirk has a compulsive pool problem, even if he hates swimming in the sludge and so avoids it. So: this.]

[He will be DASHING OVER THERE to try to help her out? Ocean boy is like not even hesitating before he is ready to dive in and drag her out of the water. He could be on Baywatch? Hire him for lifeguard.]

[He is disheartened.

And also covered in sludge.]

That's fuckin' stupid. Holy shit, the Teacher is an ass.

Yeah, but if they think this is gonna make it easier to kill me... Well, we'll find out tomorrow.

I don't expect it to. [He... hates this water but that's not the point.] You can handle yourself in the water, right? [If someone attacks her here!]

I'll be fine. I'd say I'm used to sailing and being out on the water, but...

I happen to know a pirate who doesn't know how to swim.

That feels like a bad decision on his behalf. [He kinda wants to drag himself out of the water but then he'll have to sit there being gross and that's worse.]

I generally don't try to be threatening, so that's fine. As for why they picked me, I really can't say. It's not as though they even tried to do anything to me.

Maybe they just wanted to see what happened. Still, I doubt this is all random.

Um... the book I was reading. The one about sailing. And a towel. I don't wanna get it wet, and I don't know how much I can look at it here, but... it'd pass the time at least.
