( MINGLE - WEEK 3 )

SURVIVORS: 36 The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it doesn't seem like there's anything out of the ordinary on this lovely Monday morning. How quaint. As a reminder, we are now accepting murder proposals for Week 3! If you're interested in having your character commit a murder this week, be sure to send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. Maybe. He wasn't super open about it for Jason, but also I just don't like the guy. He drives me bonkers. [he literally sticks out his tongue in a "bleh" thing]

We already had the invisible ink for secret writing, though, so I think your second idea is more likely. Wish I could see that notebook.

Me too. It could have been quite the help. [But he doubts they would be given access to the notebook now, so.] The other that's got me curious, um, despite what I just said about titles is... the Soldier? All of them make sense with their item or skill in some way but... what does a soldier have to do with an obsidian statue?

Well... we don't know what the statue is, right? Maybe it's a statue that relates to soldiers or war or something? Though I don't know if it being obsidian has any important meaning. [sighs] This place never fails to make me wish we had access to the Internet right now.

[potentite]

Me too! What I wouldn't give for google and wikipedia right now. Picking my brain for vague memories of things I maybe read or heard about once really doesn't cut it.

We don't even have books! [throws his arms up in the air] Everything is supposed to be completely off the top of our heads, and half the people here don't even know how electricity works. It's a mess.

We can request books but I have a hunch anything that would be of use to us will mysteriously be unavailable.

[pinesfortruth]

We can request stuff so long as it doesn't give an "advantage". Like being able to look things up would be an advantage. [POUTS]

[potentite]

I've been trying to think of things that wouldn't seem to give an advantage that could but coming up blank. Nothing dangerous, mind you, just perhaps to build old-fashioned alarm systems and so forth, things that might prevent murders or at least make them more difficult to pull off without letting us all know.

Considering there's some kind of freaky magic involved in making sure the murders go without a hitch, I don't think that'd work out. Personally I think that's just cheating.

It really is. I asked Craftly, too, if the survivors will receive anything for the trouble they were put through and he said it would be worth its weight in gold. After hearing about that bible of worship, I wonder if that was literal? But that doesn't seem worth it to me one bit.

Seriously? A pile of gold? If we really needed money that badly we could've just robbed a bank or made it ourselves! They're both a way easier alternative than all of this?

It may just be a saying, I mean, it is a saying, so I'm not sure if he meant it literally or not but... it's hard to imagine what could possibly be worth all this.

If it's not literal, it'd have to be something everyone left would find valuable. With the different kinds of people here, it's hard to think what that would even be.

[potentite]

The only thing that could be remotely worth it, to me, is if we could reverse it at the end and bring everyone back but... [They still??? Would have been murdered???]

But that just means instead of physical torture and murder, it's strictly psychological torture. Which isn't... great.

Pretty much! Can't really think how it would be worth this. But I suppose to the group among us handling these issues, it must be.

Maybe if this was for a timewish or something.

[potentite]

But then it was all pointless, wasn't it? Timelines are a bunch of baloney to me.

It's not a timeline thing. I mean. Not really? A time wish is something that grants you the ability to ask for anything, including alter history paradox free? So something like that might be considered valuable. Soos used his to wish for infinite pizza.

[which was, obviously, the right choice]

[Infinite pizza is totally worth it.]

Huh. That would be pretty useful, I suppose, if there were no limitations to the specifics of it.

Yeah. So, something like that might be worth it, I guess? We don't know anyone's incentive unless they say, though.

Kamui's seemed rather simple but we didn't catch the second killer of that week, nor the first week's.

Yeah well. Kamui seemed like a "simple" guy.

[implying he thinks kamui was stupid]

He did let us arm wrestle a confession from him.

Ughhh. Like, "yay, we caught him", but-- ugh. Why.
