( MINGLE - WEEK 3 )

SURVIVORS: 36

The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors.

The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel.

And speaking of the motel, it doesn't seem like there's anything out of the ordinary on this lovely Monday morning. How quaint.

As a reminder, we are now accepting murder proposals for Week 3! If you're interested in having your character commit a murder this week, be sure to send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. Without any murders we can't have a murdergame, so go forth and let the bodies hit the floor!

As always, feel free to PM us or send us a PP over plurk if you have any questions!

I've been trying to think of things that wouldn't seem to give an advantage that could but coming up blank. Nothing dangerous, mind you, just perhaps to build old-fashioned alarm systems and so forth, things that might prevent murders or at least make them more difficult to pull off without letting us all know.
pinesfortruth: (darn it all to heck)

[personal profile] pinesfortruth 2017-06-08 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
Considering there's some kind of freaky magic involved in making sure the murders go without a hitch, I don't think that'd work out. Personally I think that's just cheating.
potentite: (cause i'd never say no to you)

It really is. I asked Craftly, too, if the survivors will receive anything for the trouble they were put through and he said it would be worth its weight in gold. After hearing about that bible of worship, I wonder if that was literal? But that doesn't seem worth it to me one bit.

[personal profile] pinesfortruth 2017-06-08 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
Seriously? A pile of gold? If we really needed money that badly we could've just robbed a bank or made it ourselves! They're both a way easier alternative than all of this?

It may just be a saying, I mean, it is a saying, so I'm not sure if he meant it literally or not but... it's hard to imagine what could possibly be worth all this.
pinesfortruth: (ok ... that sounds fake but okay)

[personal profile] pinesfortruth 2017-06-08 07:04 am (UTC)(link)
If it's not literal, it'd have to be something everyone left would find valuable. With the different kinds of people here, it's hard to think what that would even be.

The only thing that could be remotely worth it, to me, is if we could reverse it at the end and bring everyone back but... [They still??? Would have been murdered???]
pinesfortruth: (a second yike)

[personal profile] pinesfortruth 2017-06-08 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
But that just means instead of physical torture and murder, it's strictly psychological torture. Which isn't... great.

[personal profile] potentite 2017-06-08 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
Pretty much! Can't really think how it would be worth this. But I suppose to the group among us handling these issues, it must be.
pinesfortruth: (but who... was phone????)

[personal profile] pinesfortruth 2017-06-08 07:38 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe if this was for a timewish or something.
potentite: (079)

[personal profile] potentite 2017-06-08 10:48 am (UTC)(link)
But then it was all pointless, wasn't it? Timelines are a bunch of baloney to me.
pinesfortruth: (look he doesn't wear hoodies i tried)

[personal profile] pinesfortruth 2017-06-08 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not a timeline thing. I mean. Not really? A time wish is something that grants you the ability to ask for anything, including alter history paradox free? So something like that might be considered valuable. Soos used his to wish for infinite pizza.

[which was, obviously, the right choice]

[personal profile] potentite 2017-06-08 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[Infinite pizza is totally worth it.]

Huh. That would be pretty useful, I suppose, if there were no limitations to the specifics of it.
pinesfortruth: (heck if i know dude i'm 12)

[personal profile] pinesfortruth 2017-06-08 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. So, something like that might be worth it, I guess? We don't know anyone's incentive unless they say, though.

Kamui's seemed rather simple but we didn't catch the second killer of that week, nor the first week's.
pinesfortruth: (since murder is "ILLEGAL" now)

[personal profile] pinesfortruth 2017-06-08 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah well. Kamui seemed like a "simple" guy.

[implying he thinks kamui was stupid]

He did let us arm wrestle a confession from him.
pinesfortruth: (dipper goes to his 50th wiggles concert)

[personal profile] pinesfortruth 2017-06-08 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Ughhh. Like, "yay, we caught him", but-- ugh. Why.
potentite: (cause i'd never say no to you)

[personal profile] potentite 2017-06-08 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I am mostly concerned about this week. We don't have a stellar record at solving murders thus far.
pinesfortruth: (mfw no wendy)

[personal profile] pinesfortruth 2017-06-09 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
One out of three is not great. But maybe we'll get the hang of it?

[maybe???]
potentite: (Default)

[personal profile] potentite 2017-06-09 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I certainly hope so! The killer who eluded our grasp last time seemed to be, erm, rather violent...
pinesfortruth: (but who... was phone????)

[personal profile] pinesfortruth 2017-06-10 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
Well... people were, like, 90% convinced it was that Tsurugi guy, right? So...
potentite: (cause i'd never say no to you)

[personal profile] potentite 2017-06-10 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
We were also quite certain it was Dva, too.
