SURVIVORS: 36 The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it doesn't seem like there's anything out of the ordinary on this lovely Monday morning. How quaint. As a reminder, we are now accepting murder proposals for Week 3! If you're interested in having your character commit a murder this week, be sure to send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. Afraid I'm going to do something to you? I get that people are paranoid this week, but what's the harm?

No, but I might step on your feet.

[perceptions]

[She shrugs.]

If it happens, it happens. I don't mind a slow learner.

[breaksouls]

And if I step on them on purpose?

[perceptions]

Then I guess I'll need to do my best to make sure you don't get the chance.

I don't know how well you'd succeed at that.

[She lets out a heavy sigh.]

I'm not in the mood anyways.

[perceptions]

...This have anything to do with what happened to Dave?

[breaksouls]

Am I the kind of person who seems like they'd want to dance normally?

[perceptions]

Well no, but saying you're not in the mood implies something is causing you to reject. Like, say, the death of a friend?

[breaksouls]

If an ally falls, that's simply evidence of the reality we live in. I can't allow myself to falter. If I did, I'd never escape.

[And that's what matters more than anything. More than friends or dancing.]

Besides, we're still stuck here, everyone's paranoid as hell, and I feel like some daemon's trying to burst out of my arm.

[perceptions]

...Man, you're always so serious Velvet. It must be exhausting being you.

[breaksouls]

... Yeah, I guess so. I don't really have any other choice, though.

[perceptions]

You do have a choice. You're just being stubborn about it.

[breaksouls]

Admittedly I didn't phrase that right. There's no other choice I want to make. There's no "easy" choice either.
