( INVESTIGATION - WEEK 2 )

Promptly at 8:00 AM, both of the Grandfather clocks will begin to ring, the sound traveling to every corner of the motel. All residents will wake up as if it was any other morning. There's the usual hum from the air conditioner units and the sound of harsh wind blowing against the windows. While the sun may not have ever set, the amount of times the Grandfather clock rings makes it clear: it's time to get up and greet the brand new day. However... something seems off. Maybe it's a shiver of cold leaving a trail of frost on your skin or a burning sensation in your chest — but it feels like something is drawing you out of your room and into the outdoor hallways. Missin' cleanin' shit from the storage closet, missin' medical shit from the clinic. But since everyone steals everything, even odds on either bein' relevant.

There's no real way to tell. I didn't go to the clinic yesterday and haven't been in the storage closet all week. But it's more than what was listed on the newspaper. I'm just pointin' out that as a group, we're all fuckin' kleptomaniacs and ergo it's hard to tell if it's a murder theft or just, like, a normal theft.

Anything else missing you noticed that could potentially be a murder weapon? Scalpels would be the obvious one.

Nope, those were the only things. I mean...there was bleach and shit missin' cleaning supplies wise.

So unless someone died by chlorine poisoning, I think we can rule that out as a normal theft for whatever reason.

Oh - I might be responsible for some of that... I took a bottle of hydrogen peroxide earlier this week, to help get some stains out of my clothing.

A scalpel and the hydrogen peroxide were all we noticed as missin'.

[Is it past tense? here is Dirk, running up and staring at Dave and there is clear and visible relief that Dave is definitely alive. He takes a step forward like he'd hug Dave and then freezes seeing the look on his face, almost shirking back.]

[ well he thought it would be? they have accounted for all the murder scenes apparently. dave tenses like he usually does when hugged out of nowhere but continues his trend of not bodily shoving dirk away, even if he kind of awkwardly digs his left arm out of the hug so dirk isn't touching it. ]

M'fine. Just walked around with Vi. You should apparently get to the clinic. Most of the people with first aid are, for some reason, standin' around here.

[He couldn't do anything until he saw Dave and confirmed Dave was alive and well with his own two eyes.

He does let go of Dave though so Dave can have his space back.]

[He is repetitive. And stupid.]

When I saw Hibiki I was relieved but then there were more and—[He should shut up.] I'm glad you're okay.

...Sure. [ a vague statement that could be a response to basically anything in that. once he's let go of he'll recross his arms, just kind of. nodding. ]

Apparently we're not stickin' to one person dead a week. Yay.

[A pause because he knows he is being shoved away, basically, and he does want to leave, but he hates to do this unfinished. Eventually, he ends up saying,]

I'll see you later today.

There's nothing wrong with taking stuff, but I wish we could keep track of who has what. I guess I don't blame anyone for wanting to be secretive, though.

It looks like Yukes had the hydrogen peroxide, so that's one thing accounted for.

I'm fine with it being public information that I've got a kitchen knife and some pain killers, if that helps.

It might if somethin' with either of those happens, but mostly someone took a scalpel and cleaning supplies. I think pain killers and knives are fair play this week?
