( INVESTIGATION - WEEK 2 )

Promptly at 8:00 AM, both of the Grandfather clocks will begin to ring, the sound traveling to every corner of the motel. All residents will wake up as if it was any other morning. There's the usual hum from the air conditioner units and the sound of harsh wind blowing against the windows. While the sun may not have ever set, the amount of times the Grandfather clock rings makes it clear: it's time to get up and greet the brand new day. However... something seems off. Maybe it's a shiver of cold leaving a trail of frost on your skin or a burning sensation in your chest — but it feels like something is drawing you out of your room and into the outdoor hallways. Dave.Yeah, I want to see Jake. But I am not skippin' out on our time because of it. Don't make me—[He breaks off.] What I said, about how I'd feel if he came back. I already feel it too much. I don't want to feel it worse.

That's not why I don't want to - [ the major portion is about he'll fuck it up more ] - look, just. Do you want to make a trade?

That sounds stupid.

Acceptable, as long as you promise to meet me as usual tomorrow, assuming I'm not lynched. [TWO OF HIS ROOMMATES ARE DEAD he's pretty sure he's going to be a suspect. And it's the one damn week he doesn't have an alibi.
