SURVIVORS: ??

The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors.

The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel.

And speaking of the motel, it seems like the Kitchen, Dining Hall and Disposal room are still under constructions. Meals will be served in the Pool/Outdoor Dining Area in the meantime. How quaint.

As a reminder, we are now accepting murder proposals for Week 5! If you're interested in having your character commit a murder this week, be sure to send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. Without any murders we can't have a murdergame, so go forth and let the bodies hit the floor!

That's... a pretty good question. [he frowns a bit] I know it seems hopeless and impossible right now, but the only thing we can do is keep trying.

I... Yeah. I know. I just don't know what else to try. I looked for information and it's like it's all a dead end.

[ after a moment she kind of. realizes who she's talking to. ]

... How are you doing?

I think the people who have the most information right now are the guys keeping it from us on purpose. We can't do anything unless we have all the pieces. It's-- so frustrating, and then they keep just writing down notes like it's going to help us feel better when people are dying.

[he doesn't expect the question somehow, and it takes him aback for a second]

As good as anyone can be after having their face chewed up by a spider in a place with minimal access to first aid?

[so: good enough for sarcasm]

I keep thinking we should be posting all of the information we have. That way no one feels vulnerable about revealing themselves and what they've been doing.

But instead we're just passing stupid notes.

[ she looks over his face. yeah that's. not ideal. ]

I've seen worse. What happened to the spider?

That... would probably make the most sense. I mean, I get it, there are people we know are working against us, but... those guys probably already know anything we're going to find out.

[because. life is unfair.]

I... am pretty sure Quer ate it.

[ She nods. ] This late in the game... Maybe it's just easier if we all out ourselves, even. I don't know. I'm not any good at strategizing like this.

[ she what. ]

Gross.

I-- I don't know. It's not... It's not safe so long as people who aren't just the two working for what's-her-face are around, technically. But we're not getting anywhere the way we are now, either.

[gestures wildly]

Right? Like, she killed it, which was nice, but then she just ate it, and I don't know if I should be grateful or really weirded out?

Nothing is safe.

[ she's pretty much feeling mopey and hopeless right now so: MAN THAT SPIDER THING IS A BIG PRIORITY ]

I guess you can... Eat bugs... They're not bad for you or anything, even if it's gross.

There's eating bugs and there's cannibalizing a giant spider as you kill it? It's just so ... and I'm pretty sure she got acid burns doing it? It's weird.
