SURVIVORS: 36 The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it doesn't seem like there's anything out of the ordinary on this lovely Monday morning. How quaint. As a reminder, we are now accepting murder proposals for Week 3! If you're interested in having your character commit a murder this week, be sure to send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. Do you now? I can see it already! The people of Pandyssia will sleep well at night knowing they are under the ward of Emily the divine. Your legends would be spoken of far and wide! Your friends would hear of your tales not only from your own accounts but from the songs of bards sung in your honor!

[Her smiles softens instead of being all intense energy.]

I can assure you, the demon slayer felt no fear at all, for she knew her own strength and the light in the hearts of her comrades well enough to be assured of her victory.

[Quickly, Emily's hand comes up to cover her mouth to stop the giggling. She's ten, so thinking about herself as Emily the Divine with trumpets and red carpets much less Pandyssia tribe worship is the last thing on her mind.

She just wants to explore and maybe pillage some bad guys?] Maybe I will be in a book. Then someone else will read about what I did. I could keep a journal.

[Her hand returns to her lap.] I'm glad the demon slayer was very brave. I want to be brave too. Like Corvo and the demon slayer.

I don't think we have demons in the Isles, but... maybe I can be a sea monster slayer.

[listen, L'Arachel genuinely thinks Emily the Divine sounds fucking awesome but if it gets a smile out of the little girl who was just scampering into a kitchen cabinet a couple of minutes ago, she's allowed to think it's ridiculous]

A journal! What a splendid idea! It will last as an eternal testament to your greatness. Scholars will pore over it for centuries to come, wanting to know you as well as they may have in life.
