( MINGLE - WEEK 3 )

The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors.

The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel.

And speaking of the motel, it doesn't seem like there's anything out of the ordinary on this lovely Monday morning. How quaint.

As a reminder, we are now accepting murder proposals for Week 3! If you're interested in having your character commit a murder this week, be sure to send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. Without any murders we can't have a murdergame, so go forth and let the bodies hit the floor!

Where were these when I needed them.

[ he sighs. ]

We need to find a way to appropriately distribute these...or at least keep them safe.

Are you sure you don't need them? [Mabel takes out a band-aid!] Where does it hurt? I'll draw a happy face on it!

[Mabel rifles through the first aid kit, whew-- no scalpels]

What if Dipper and I hang onto it? That way, if anyone gets hurt, we can fix them up and give them a get better soon sticker?

Plus Mabel and I are some of the only ones here who didn't pilfer stuff, apparently. [he is looking over her shoulder as she rifles through it]

Do you think this was the work of the bootlegger role? They're the ones who can smuggle in "illegal" contraband.

I'm fine. [ said a little defensively, but he's just a tad cranky is all. ] Bear in mind that the two of you are children: you can easily be overpowered, and we have to make it known that we uncovered these items. I don't intend to put either of you in a vulnerable position.

[ he pauses for a second, thinking. ]

I can keep it in my room — I'm not especially concerned about my roommate doing anything. The two of you can check inventory on a daily basis. You'll be able to hold me accountable if anything is to go missing, and we can leave a poster at the front desk announcing that residents can come to one of the three of us if they're in need of treatment.

If that isn't to your liking, we can look for a middle ground. But I don't want anyone using this to their advantage. As for the bootlegger, none of this appears to be "illegal"...but that would depend on the laws here.

A first aid kit in murder motel seems illegal enough to me. It's an advantage. [he agrees with his sister on the rest, so he just crosses his arms and attempts to look intimidating.

Haha..! You two are interesting. It's not that I trust my roommate — I simply know how to deal with him.

[ his arms are kind of saddening, after all. ]

Then we can take turns. I keep it for one day, and then I pass it off to one of you the next day and so forth. That way we'll be able to keep track of one another and the inventory. Regardless, we need to be cautious. Whoever provided us with this likely had a purpose in mind.

[don't fuck with the 12 y/os, dad]

One sec! Twin huddle!

[grabs Dipper to whisper in his ear!]

Dipper! What do you think? Switchies?

I don't like it, but it's probably gonna be the best option we get. He's not gonna just give it to us, but this is better than having to check on it every day.

[he clears his throat, straightening up]

[ oh my god. they're like little businessmen. it's so cute. he smirks, arms folded ]

Understood. I'll be trusting you to hold me accountable. If either of you want to announce our findings to the others, feel free to do so.

[there's nothing to smirk about here they're very intimidating and serious??]

[Mabel makes the 'points at eyes points at him' motion while Dipper makes the deal official]

And you'd better not turn down my band-aids, or I'm revoking your kit privileges!

And you have to help us make a sign! A glittery sign.

[apparently Dipper just got roped into this as well]

[dipper RELUCTANTLY sits down and grabs a crayon, but he is sulking THE ENTIRE TIME]

[ oh fuck. he's just going to gracefully etch "COLORED PENCIL, NOT BLOOD" into the corner as a footnote. ]

One of you can hang this up. Preferably Mabel since she attracts more attention.

[traces the red writing in blue so it looks... less... what Dipper said]

Perfect! Now who's taking the kit for the first night?

That's... slightly less horrifying.

[slightly. in a show of niceness from paranoid!dipper, he offers:]

Percival can have it for now. [a beat] Because he probably needs it. [ruined it.]

Understood. [ no offense taken, little dude. ]

Knock on my door if you need anything. Be careful -- both of you.

[ with the box now in his grasp, percival takes his leave. ]
