SURVIVORS: 36 The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it doesn't seem like there's anything out of the ordinary on this lovely Monday morning. How quaint. As a reminder, we are now accepting murder proposals for Week 3! If you're interested in having your character commit a murder this week, be sure to send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. Yukina actually manages to smile, though - Mabel's optimism isn't quite contagious, but it certainly makes the weight they've all been carrying feel a little lighter.]

...of course, Mabel-chan. I won't kill anyone.

[a pause]

Ha, ha, just kidding! I know I can trust you.

[she settles in next to Yukina and holds out the threads] It's like braiding! Have you ever braided hair?

[Does she really, though? She can't help but wonder if maybe Mabel is just trying very, very hard. If so, it's admirable.

What a strong child she is.]

Not exactly... I mostly just tie it back. [Like she's done now.] But I think I know how it works, in theory...?

[honestly this isn't that different from what the twins go through at Gravity Falls, except Dipper's exclusively the paranoid one]

Allow me to demonstrate on your hair! After that, we can move onto the bracelet.

Oh... sure.

[A little startled, but willing to comply (even if Mabel does want to try something, what's the worst a child could do?), Yukina reaches up to undo her ribbon, allowing her hair to tumble down around her shoulders.]

What do you need me to do...?

Just watch and learn! [She brushes Yukina's hair over her shoulder so it's off to one side in front of Yukina and she can see Mabel's technique]

[And starts braiding!]

See? Just like this. It's the same for bracelets! And now you'll look even more fabulous with Mabel's flash fashion!

Yukina does as Mabel says - and it really does seem quite simple, as long as she pays attention and takes her time.]

I see... thank you very much for teaching me. [She arranges the threads so that the red one is in between the light blue and dark blue ones, and begins to braid, glancing down every so often to confirm that she's doing it the same way Mabel is.] What do I do once the bracelet has been braided...?
