SURVIVORS: 36 The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it doesn't seem like there's anything out of the ordinary on this lovely Monday morning. How quaint. As a reminder, we are now accepting murder proposals for Week 3! If you're interested in having your character commit a murder this week, be sure to send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. I'm sure none of us are very pleased that there are now two confirmed killers running around here.

[ he looks down at the flowers. ]

She'd be angry if she knew we didn't get Hibiki's.

...that's a little bit of an understatement, I think.

[To put it very, very mildly.]

She would be. But... we'll just have to keep our eyes peeled. If we figure out who did it... there's no reason why we can't try to tie a vote, later.

[ninjay]

... I'm not sure how we'd be able to plan a tie vote. The Mayor would make it too difficult, and if the killers do have some sort of alliance, they might purposely sabotage the vote.

[ everyone seems convinced that the ghost wasn't working alone. ]

We might tie accidentally though.

If the Mayor were to confess to it, but... then that would make them a target, wouldn't it?

[She sighs.]

It's a shame there isn't anyone that everyone alive trusts enough to... tell their roles to. It would help plan a vote, and the group at large wouldn't have to know... as long as everyone was willing to cooperate.

[But with three killers potentially skewing the votes... that would definitely make things harder. If the three were to all vote for the same person, then maybe the Mayor could offset that somehow, but...]

I feel like something like that wouldn't be possible unless our numbers were a lot smaller, and even then that person would be in the most danger of getting killed.

[ and also... they don't want their numbers to get smaller. that means more dead people. ]

...I guess there are still too many of us for us all to... really cooperate.

[Yukina hates this.]

Not that I can really blame anyone. Especially not this week.

At least the other weeks' night terrors were more personalized. This is the first one that affects your relations with other people.

[ which are most likely already strained somewhat on a good day. ]

...I don't like it. [Which is probably, uh. The point.] Whether I trust someone or not... I want to know it's because I really don't trust them, not because of what this place is making me feel.

It's probably just to make things harder for people who are trying to gather information from each other. You're not going to trust anything someone tells you during the week, so the intel is going to be useless until the following one unless you manage to overcome it. Either way, it's time wasted.

[She doesn't disagree with anything he's saying, so she nods.]

Hopefully people will... be able to get back on track, next week.

Everyone better. It's life or death, after all.
