( MINGLE - WEEK 3 )
![]() The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it doesn't seem like there's anything out of the ordinary on this lovely Monday morning. How quaint. As a reminder, we are now accepting murder proposals for Week 3! If you're interested in having your character commit a murder this week, be sure to send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. Without any murders we can't have a murdergame, so go forth and let the bodies hit the floor! As always, feel free to PM us or send us a PP over plurk if you have any questions! ic rulebook | locations | statuses | room assignments private conversations | ic profiles | graveyard | full navigation |

Aesthetic, I guess. You gotta admire their dedication to it.
[he says that so dryly]
no subject
But, honestly...he turns to face Kaito with a humorless smile. ]
Oh yes, it is truly admirable...
[ ... ]
This 'aesthetic' is even enough to make someone feel at home, isn't it?
no subject
no subject
Well, I suppose I was trying to make a comment with a comedic element to it.
[ Knoll, you have a shitty sense of humor-- ]
It didn't carry across very well, did it?
no subject
You gotta work on your deliver of sarcastic humor, yeah. But it was a pretty decent effort.
no subject
[ One day... or maybe never. It's not the first time he's been told that. ]
... Would you like to talk further in the lobby? It feels a little strange holding conversation near a bowl of ... that.
no subject
Yeah, sure. The lobby would provide scenery that's a li'l more pleasant.
Less teeth, anyway.
no subject
... I don't suppose you've also been in a situation where you've been kidnapped, or confined before, have you?
[ May as well ask. ]
no subject
I may have been, once or twice.
[ha ha ha]
I've never been forced into a killing game, though. That part's new.
no subject
[ Knoll just figured it was rather interesting to note, honestly. ]
Though, I've yet to find if anyone has ever been coerced into a killing game before this one. Luckily, such a thing doesn't seem common, despite however many versions of this game have been played here...
no subject
[Kaito hadn't thought about it, but. maybe Knoll has a point]
And I'd certainly hope this sorta thing isn't common, geez.
no subject
[ He could be wrong, of course, because he doubts everyone's experience was the same, but still... ]
...If this sort of situation were commonplace, I'd imagine it'd drive many lands to ruin.
no subject
[I mean. assuming they actually COULD and weren't prevented from doing so by some spooky power]
[goodness knows Kaito wants to start one himself]
no subject
I suppose there's that as well...
...I even imagine someone would've even tried to start a rebellion here, if those orchestrating this weren't obviously so powerful.
no subject
I don't care about power. I still wanna stop this stupid game; I just gotta figure out how.
no subject
[ He sighs; they've been a long enough time here already. ]
Let's hope that day does come soon.
no subject
[he is DETERMINED]
I'll make sure that day comes myself.
no subject
...You truly have no doubts that you'll be able to succeed?
no subject
Failure isn't an option.
no subject
[ He stares at the young man for a moment.
For a moment, Knoll thinks its nice that someone can have such conviction. Though he'll give his best, even he isn't that decisive. He muses that such words are likely something Hibiki would've said and he could only smile thinly. ]
Kaito, thank you for speaking to me. I hope you do have a good rest of your day...
[ And if allowed, he'll excuse himself. ]
