( MINGLE - WEEK 3 )
![]() The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the motel, it doesn't seem like there's anything out of the ordinary on this lovely Monday morning. How quaint. As a reminder, we are now accepting murder proposals for Week 3! If you're interested in having your character commit a murder this week, be sure to send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. Without any murders we can't have a murdergame, so go forth and let the bodies hit the floor! As always, feel free to PM us or send us a PP over plurk if you have any questions! ic rulebook | locations | statuses | room assignments private conversations | ic profiles | graveyard | full navigation |

[Yukina looks over the plants and bites her lip.]
And... other flowers that remind me of her, too. Do you have any suggestions?
no subject
Hmm...
What about daisies and orange tulips?
[ They're fairly common flowers he doesn't think they'll have any issue with finding, anyway. ]
no subject
[Daisies and orange tulips, it is. Yukina keeps her eyes peeled as she walks through the gardens. ...at the rate they're all picking flowers, they... might run out before their time here is done.]
...what brings you here, Knoll-san? Not that I don't appreciate the help...
no subject
[ He's looking for two particular flowers--just the same as before. Though, it does take him awhile to find the purple ones and he considers finding a way to grow some more. ]
I had figured that many would, reasonably, be ready to prepare such things for Omega. She had quite a presence, and she made a noble sacrifice. I don't believe it was quite the case with Hibiki and Vincent. Though, that may be presumptuous to say.

[Yukina looks down, a little ashamed of herself. A little worried he's going to judge her for what she says next - or is that just the paranoia, again?]
I guess... I took it for granted that they'd still be here this week, and that I could talk to them over the next few days.
no subject
[ As a surprise it may be...but he sees no use in hiding it, even if some part of him might have wanted to. He could tell it took a bit for Yukina to say such a thing, or so he assumed. ]
Even though I had the chance to speak to Hibiki, I assumed that he would live. He had such conviction to survive, that I didn't doubt it. Perhaps...it's only human to think like that, even though we know we may end up dead the very next day.
no subject
[Yukina sighs. If they just take it one day at a time, if nobody expects their friends to live to see the next day... maybe the losses will be easier to deal with.]
...I'd rather plan for a future where we're all alive, though.
no subject
[ He could not help but think that those words may have some merit... ]
I would prefer that as well. Even if... that may seem nearly impossible, given our situation.
no subject
[It might feel like it, but...]
And the things we work hard for will have more meaning than those that come easily.
no subject
And when we're successful in our hard work, our gains will be greater than that of which was achieved with ease.
[ He couldn't help but remember vaguely that such similar words were exchanged a long while ago between him and someone else...but would it all end in disaster? He hoped not. ]
...Yukina, do you have a place in mind for where to place those flowers?
no subject
[It almost gets her to smile - there's a small twitch of her lips - but she isn't quite able to hold the expression. Luckily, his question distracts her.]
I was thinking I'd put them in the lounge. But... if there's somewhere else you think would be good, we can gather enough to put them there, too.
no subject
There's been a small memorial constructed by Lord Percival on the second floor for those who have passed.
[ He doesn't think he needs to say it excludes their killer, though, because really. ]
...So, perhaps it may be good to have them all in one place?
no subject
[She'll probably put a few of them in the lounge, nonetheless - it was where Omega died, after all. Yukina can't help but wonder if some part of her spirit will still remain there.
But it would also be nice to find her a place along with the others.]
Let's find something nice to put there for her, then.
no subject
It was a garden, after all. ]
I believe these should hold the flowers just fine...and with that, we'll all set here, aren't we?
no subject
[Yep, that'll do it. Yukina smiles and reaches or one of the pots.]
Yes, I think so. Thank you, Knoll-san.
