Promptly at 7:59 AM, all residents will wake up as if it was any other morning. There's the usual hum from the air conditioner units and the sound of harsh wind blowing against the windows. While the sun may not have ever set, there's no reason to doubt it's time to get up and greet the brand new day. Despite the usual cold clinging to the residents' skin, it seems like any other Friday morning. Or, at least, it does — until it suddenly isn't. A large, deafening explosion will rock the motel seconds before 8:00 AM, drowning out the sound of the grandfather clocks and threatening to break the building in half. Those on the motel's west wing will feel the tremors with greater strength, their ears ringing from the volume of the explosion, and just when the walls and ceilings begin to crack... A translucent shimmer coats every room from top to bottom, almost like a shield to keep the structure from falling apart. Now, it's time to see what surprises lay in wait for the survivors. [well, this was fun! since the lobby is an utter freakin' mess right now, Kaito tries to call everyone's attention from the stairwell. he's rubbing his injured shoulder, wincing as he does so because the faceless men totally mugged him for some evidence :(]

Kaiba's dead. We found his body in the lobby area. Akane also found Ryou's body outside.

But when myself and Andersen checked in the clinic, there were sleeping pills missing.

Aloy was missing this morning, her bed was stripped and there was blood leading to the lobby. I don't know if she's dead, but...

Aloy is dead. She seems to have exploded, along with the kitchen.

[he closes his eyes for a moment, drawing in another breath, before he opens them]

[Yukina's coming back from the gardens with some dirt on her hands - she probably made Suzaku carry the cleaver until the faceless men took it. When she hears the news about Kaiba and Ryou, her expression falls, and she looks like she's trying hard not to start crying.

It's terrible to see people die in general, but Kaiba and Ryou... she'd gotten somewhat closer to them both than she was to previous victims.]

...Suzaku-san and I found a cleaver... i-it was buried in the gardens.

Whoever buried it didn't do a very thorough job. They clearly wanted to hide it.

[He's annoyed that his hands are still dirty, so he's being a bit of a priss.]

Uh. Just as a note, no one should go into the Disposal Room? It's... you'll fall through the floor, as there isn't really a floor anymore. There was nothing of interest there worth investigating so I suggest keeping out for safety's sake.

The disposal room is right over the kitchen, right? It must've gotten caught in the blast.

Hmm, I checked out the grocery store... Lots of shredded butcher paper...

I think there were two things missing from the butcher's area, but I dunno what!

Blood in the parking lot. From its pattern, it's likely that someone was shot. There was a crack in the ceiling of the lounge as well.
