SURVIVORS: 32 The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the buildings surrounding the motel, it seems like the Library is now open. How quaint. As a reminder, we are now accepting murder proposals for Week 4! If you're interested in having your character commit a murder this week, be sure to send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. I will admit that I have never known of an exorcism ritual powerful enough to extract such a demon from its host. [She sighs, but she's very quickly back to her usual self.] Of course, we are worlds away from that now, so who knows what may be possible! The wretches here are worms compared to the opponents I have bested, so I cannot dismiss the idea.

I've mostly dealt with ghost possessions, not... the demonic kind. [or at least not in a way that an exorcism would work]

To my knowledge, only the most powerful of demons are capable of existing outside a vessel with enough strength to seize a human's heart. But of course, because of their great strength, it takes little for the two souls to be inexorably linked. Worse yet, of course, is an instance where a host has acted of their own will...

[she glance aside, thoughtful. literally the plot of fe8. it's barely a moment before she refocuses on Dipper, though.]

The more I learn about this "Mother" figure, the more parallels I see to the battles I have already fought.

Yeah, even took care of a category 10 ghost once. The trick is to get the local rich girl to apologize. It's probably her family's fault.

You know, you're not the only one who noticed something like that. There's a lot of similarities between what people have gone through in their own dimension and the stuff going on around here. I thought it was a coincidence, but maybe that's the reason we were picked for this thing.
