SURVIVORS: 32 The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the buildings surrounding the motel, it seems like the Library is now open. How quaint. As a reminder, we are now accepting murder proposals for Week 4! If you're interested in having your character commit a murder this week, be sure to send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. I haven't been able to do much else after yesterday morning. I don't think Nagasone would have even let me get out of bed today if I hadn't snuck out.

Oh, um... I got attacked. By a monster.

[IMMEDIATELY bolts out of his seat and stares at her like!!]

What?! Why? Are you okay?

[holding up her hands like CALM DOWN BRO]

I'm fine, I'm fine! I just got a few bruises and a sprained ankle, that's all! Please don't worry about it!

[but okay he does slowly sink back into his seat when she assures him she's okay]

Did you see what kinda monster it was? And. . . why did it attack you in the first place?

It was, um... very Lovecraftian? There were a lot of eyes and mouths and tendrils?

[She fiddles with a piece of paper uncertainly.]

As for why it attacked... I don't know. It just grabbed me out of my room.

It grabbed you? How'd you get away?

There's a thing in the library?

[She missed seeing a thing! :(]

It broke the door, so there were a lot of splinters. I grabbed one and stabbed it a few times.

A giant monster. It's dead now, though.

Why would a monster come for you in the middle of the night? Doesn't that count as game interference?

I really don't know. Maybe the monsters count as independent parties in the game, or maybe there is something even more sinister going on.

I'd place my money on "something more sinister." That's kinda the theme we have going on, here.
