( MINGLE - WEEK 4 )

SURVIVORS: 32 The sun is shining, the air conditioner units hum as they always do, and a gentle morning breeze blows against the windows. The scent of pine cones and evergreen follow you wherever you go in the motel, save for the parking lot and outdoor pool. It seems like someone was very generous with the detergent while moping the floors. The two grandfather clocks (one on each floor) will ring with each passing hour, indicating the time of day without fail. With this knowledge — they'll note the motel will continue to be surrounded by fog until 8:00 AM on the dot. It is at that hour that the fog will begin to recede. Not enough to reveal the whole city, but enough to allow residents to explore some of the buildings surrounding the motel. And speaking of the buildings surrounding the motel, it seems like the Library is now open. How quaint. As a reminder, we are now accepting murder proposals for Week 4! If you're interested in having your character commit a murder this week, be sure to send in your proposal before Tuesday, 9:00 PM EST. [ percival's eyes open, slowly and slightly. upon seeing knoll, he smiles softly — it's a bit lopsided and is probably the most uncharacteristic smile you will ever get out of him in this lifetime. at last, he musters the strength to sit up. ]

It's you...did you [ yawn. ] take the strawberries...off the stove?

[ and like a light, he flops back down — this time onto knoll's knees. he rolls over, soundly asleep again. ]

[ Knoll finds himself blinking a bit when the red-haired male is smiling like that. On one hand, it's a nice smile, but on the other hand, he's still worried about why Percival fell asleep here. ]

W-well, yes, I did--

[ His words trail off into something that was supposed to be words but weren't because Percival is lying on his knees...somehow completely asleep. He begins to lightly try to shake him awake again. ]

Er - you can't just fall asleep here...

[lohengrins]

[ he drowsily opens his eyes again — percival looks a little dumbfounded, as though he were a child. ]

I don't know how... [ he breathes out. ] to get to my room...

[ he shifts a little closer. ]

[ a yawn. ] You're comfortable. Good vassal.

[rextenebrae]

[ That only increases his worry. He's going to grow premature grey hairs at this rate (not really, but still.) ]

I can help you--

[ The dark mage can't help the way his cheeks warm a little--it's probably because Percival is undoubtedly so close. Much closer than he'd allow any other person to be. His mind is trying to search for a solution, though...and he concludes it may take awhile. ]

Lord Percival, how about if you just swing an arm around my shoulder and I try to help you to your feet...?

[lohengrins]

Hm... [ percival groggily sits himself up again. he slings an arm around knoll's shoulder, only to then rest his head into the crook of his neck and promptly fall asleep a third time. ]

Up. Onwards...

[ or not? his eyes are still closed, however. ]

[ With some effort (he's still his noodlely self), he begins to try to help Percival to his feet, feeling a bit relived when the man hadn't fallen asleep again.

The kitchen is still a mess, but he figures it could be tended to after. ]

...There we go.

Do you mind if you tell me what the occasion was for? As it appeared you were preparing to bake a cake.

[lohengrins]

[ percival notes the struggle and musters the strength to wake up again, now properly standing at the very least. for a moment, it's as though he's supporting knoll as opposed to the opposite. ]

I don't like sweets. [ it's true! ] But I thought I could...[ yawn. ] adjust my blood sugar. I wanted to share it as well...

[ he rubs at his eyes with his free hand. ]

I'll finish it later...and you can eat it, as my vassal...

[rextenebrae]

[ It's a little funny, but it's probably what allows Knoll to be able to help Percival, and there's no way he'd be able to do most of the lifting.

He begins to try moving slowly. ]

Then, I will. I don't mind sweets so much...and it's been awhile since I've had cake.

[ Actually, he has a bit of a sweet tooth... ]

Can you tell me something? Have you been having trouble getting sleep at night?

[lohengrins]

That...isn't of any importance. It's...[ yawn. ] temporary. Conshider it an experiment gone awry....

[ he nudges his shoulder with this nose. ]

You should...[ yawn. ] sleep with me. It's your duty as my vassal...to accompany me wherever I go....there's enough room in my bed for us both. [ sorry knoll, his nonexistent sense of shame is in the negatives now that he isn't fully conscious. ]

[rextenebrae]

Alright, if you say it isn't something to worry about, then...

[ Knoll nearly trips over his feet in surprise at Percival's following words. Both of them...sleeping together--yeah, that definitely makes the flush return to his cheeks and his face undoubtedly bright red.

He tries to calm down so he's not stumbling over his words like a fool, and to make sure he didn't hallucinate that as well. ]

E-Excuse me? Did I hear you right?

[lohengrins]

Should I repeat what I said? [ yet another yawn as he drops his head against knoll's shoulder. ] There'sh room for both of us...and if anything happens to you, I'll be... [ his eyes flutter shut. ] right there. [ they reopen again. ]

Hm? Are...you op...posed?

[rextenebrae]

No, not at all. I'd actually really like that, but...

[ Knoll takes a breath to try to calm himself as they move up; he's very glad it's the two of them and that Percival didn't take notice of this flustering him. It was embarrassing enough.

In the end, he would actually like an arrangement like that. He didn't like the idea of Percival being alone, but at the same time.... ]

We should probably talk about this with my roommate as well. Maybe when you're a little more focused.
