( INVESTIGATION - WEEK 1 )
![]() Promptly at 8:00 AM, both of the Grandfather clocks will begin to ring, the sound traveling to every corner of the motel. All residents will wake up as if it was any other morning. There's the usual hum from the air conditioner units and the sound of harsh wind blowing against the windows. While the sun may not have ever set, the amount of times the Grandfather clock rings makes it clear: it's time to get up and greet the brand new day. However... something seems off. Maybe it's a shiver of cold leaving a trail of frost on your skin or a burning sensation in your chest — but it feels like something is drawing you out of your room and into the outdoor hallways. Where will you go? Welcome to the investigation log! Please put the name of the location your character will be exploring in the subject header. If you plan on grouping up with someone else for a location, we ask that you keep it to 2-3 characters maximum. Once you're all set and ready to rumble, mods will be here to provide evidence if found and set the scene for investigation events. Happy body hunting! ic rulebook | locations | statuses | room assignments private conversations | ic profiles | graveyard | full navigation |

[ D.Va was ready to get out of the room — she already has her clothes draped over her arm. She won't be staying in that room, now knowing what happened. ]
We'll find out who did it, you know? Me, Perc, and Marty woke up after those stupid gongs went off and ... I wish we knew what happened. We wouldn't have —
[ She sounds apologetic. ]
...Sorry.

[quiet for a moment, before he nods at her]
Thanks.
I've got a lot of questions for you guys, but I imagine I'll be askin' 'em tomorrow, so. . . I'll hold off for now.

[he lifts a hand and taps his temples]
The body was still warm, yeah? He couldn't have been dead for a few hours at the most.

[ However, she was dismissive because she shuddered at the thought. ]
I'm sorry, but... I'm going to write the stuff I remembered down so we can go over it tomorrow, ok?
no subject
In your room.
[and that's kind of. unfortunate??]

I am! What's so weird about that? S'not every day you hear someone literally say "OTL."
[INTERNET PEOPLE]
. . . either way, thanks for your help. I get the feeling we'll need every bit of it we can get tomorrow.
no subject
[ But, yeah she nods at that. ]
Right... least I can do, you know?
no subject
Yeah. Least anyone can do, right? Can't say I knew Jason well, but I'm pretty sure he was a good kid.
no subject
Errrr... he was good, I'm sure? Very fussy and loud.

[short laugh]
He's a chocolate milk thief, too.
