( INVESTIGATION - WEEK 3 )
![]() Promptly at 8:00 AM, both of the Grandfather clocks will begin to ring, the sound traveling to every corner of the motel. All residents will wake up as if it was any other morning. There's the usual hum from the air conditioner units and the sound of harsh wind blowing against the windows. While the sun may not have ever set, the amount of times the Grandfather clock rings makes it clear: it's time to get up and greet the brand new day. However... something seems off. Maybe it's a shiver of cold leaving a trail of frost on your skin or a burning sensation in your chest — but it feels like something is drawing you out of your room and into the outdoor hallways. Where will you go? Welcome to the investigation log! Please put the name of the location your character will be exploring in the subject header. If you plan on grouping up with someone else for a location, we ask that you keep it to 2-3 characters maximum. Mod replies will be sent out at 6:10 PM onwards, so we ask that you hold off having lengthy threads until then just in case there's a corpse smackdab at the entrance of a room. Happy body hunting! ic rulebook | locations | statuses | room assignments private conversations | ic profiles | graveyard | full navigation |

Kaiba's just confirming here are no weapons around? Just the body and the bizarre set up. ]

He was only just killed, Kaiba.
[meaning that the killer cannot be far.]
If you're in this room...don't follow.
[she infuses the words with as much coldness and authority as someone six centuries old can.]

But the effects of the Dark Room will become intolerable the longer they remain here. It's best if they leave now.]

he does not need to know to know that you tasted the blood, quer.also, he's going to instinctively bristle because he's never really dealt well with people trying to force authority on him, but survival instinct is way more important right now so he's not going to protest too much.
... there doesn't seem to be anyone else here, just based on what he can see from the limited candlelight? the killer must have escaped somehow. ]
