( INVESTIGATION - WEEK 3 )
![]() Promptly at 8:00 AM, both of the Grandfather clocks will begin to ring, the sound traveling to every corner of the motel. All residents will wake up as if it was any other morning. There's the usual hum from the air conditioner units and the sound of harsh wind blowing against the windows. While the sun may not have ever set, the amount of times the Grandfather clock rings makes it clear: it's time to get up and greet the brand new day. However... something seems off. Maybe it's a shiver of cold leaving a trail of frost on your skin or a burning sensation in your chest — but it feels like something is drawing you out of your room and into the outdoor hallways. Where will you go? Welcome to the investigation log! Please put the name of the location your character will be exploring in the subject header. If you plan on grouping up with someone else for a location, we ask that you keep it to 2-3 characters maximum. Mod replies will be sent out at 6:10 PM onwards, so we ask that you hold off having lengthy threads until then just in case there's a corpse smackdab at the entrance of a room. Happy body hunting! ic rulebook | locations | statuses | room assignments private conversations | ic profiles | graveyard | full navigation |

Move aside, please.
[and now jan admits to basing this all off of wikihow because hell if i know medicine
After swapping his uniform gloves for sterile ones, he takes out his scalpel... and before this sounds extremely alarming, he uses it to cut up Mira's shirt up to where the knife is (sorry if you liked that shirt, Mira), as he'd rather not have to remove the weapon just yet. Instead, he presses the gauze around the knife, in an attempt to stop/slow down the bleeding.
ASSUMING THAT GOES WELL and Mira doesn't, like, die in the process, he'll be asking Aloy:]
Lift her so that she's in a sitting position, will you?
no subject
Be careful. It looks like whoever attacked her just barely missed her heart.

[Ideally, Girge could just get their actual doctor to remove the knife and do what she needs to, but since she's dead, that's not really an option anymore, is it?
So carefully, he takes the knife out; afterwards, he's promptly ready to stop the bleeding. Once that's done and dealt with, he cleans the wound, before (assuming the wound doesn't need to be closed) covering the dressing with bandages.]
Anything else of interest this morning?

We heard a woman screaming around ten minutes before eight this morning, but our doors wouldn't open. If it was Mira screaming, she's incredibly lucky to still be alive. Aside from that...going by our record of not being able to get through a single week without murdering, I bet there's gonna be plenty of things of interest.
no subject
... Heh. Most likely.
[And bandaging done, so...]
Well, there's not much else we can do for her now, aside from keeping pressure on the wound and monitoring her. It's just a matter of where we should put her until she wakes up.
[Carry her back to her room or something?? Just leave her here???]

also she's still unconscious i just wanted to do meta-text.]

...and then shut the door on that hot mess with the flattest expression possible on her face.]
Okay, so not the lounge.
no subject
[well, in that case]
What about your room? If Mira wakes up before night falls, you can always kick her out.

[Oh great, her bedthings are going to get all bloody - and just when she was just getting used to having a bed at all! But fine, her compassion manages to win out against her desire to keep possible corpses out of her room.]
She can stay in my room, sure. I'll go pick some herbs from the garden for her pain if she wakes up. [aka weed] At this rate, I should just keep a whole stock of them on me at all time.

... Herbs from the garden?

Well, Mira is an adult and capable of making her own decisions. If she wants your... dreamwillow, I'm sure she'll be very happy.
