Promptly at 8:00 AM, both of the Grandfather clocks will begin to ring, the sound traveling to every corner of the motel. All residents will wake up as if it was any other morning. There's the usual hum from the air conditioner units and the sound of harsh wind blowing against the windows. While the sun may not have ever set, the amount of times the Grandfather clock rings makes it clear: it's time to get up and greet the brand new day. However... something seems off. Maybe it's a shiver of cold leaving a trail of frost on your skin or a burning sensation in your chest — but it feels like something is drawing you out of your room and into the outdoor hallways. Where will you go? Welcome to the investigation log! Please put the name of the location your character will be exploring in the subject header. [There's nothing wrong in the Grocery Store itself, but something is definitely missing from the Butcher's Room. Specifically — a couple of sharp knives and a saw. A strand of red hair has been caught between the remaining tools.]

That was mine.

I took two knives from here, but I don't know who could be responsible for the missing saw.

Monday morning, before I entered the burned building. I wanted to make sure I was equipped to deal with whatever was in there.

They didn't help much, in case you were wondering.

Anyhow: the saw wasn't missing when I came here, meaning it was recent theft. That can't be good.

Monday was a while ago; you'd think the hair would've blown away now or something.

I don't even wanna know what the saw was for.

I guess I have dense hair. It would have helped our thief, had I not noticed it myself.

Somehow I doubt someone who lectured me about being reckless earlier would lie about something like this.
