Unlike the previous day, those who are asleep past 8:00 AM will experience no pain as they're roused awake. Instead, they're pulled from their sleep peacefully, almost as if enveloped in a mother's loving embrace. A comfortable warmth spreads through their body as they open their eyes, finding themselves free of any grogginess or disorientation. Similarly, those who woke up early or were unable to sleep at all will find themselves alert and ready to take on the day. Considering what is about to transpire, however... no one would be blamed for wishing they could stay asleep. "Good morning. My staff and I hope you were able to sleep well. As promised, an execution will take place on this fine day. Please make your way to the Dining Hall. A member of our distinguished staff will be waiting for you with a summary of last night's results." Just like the previous day, residents who do not make their way to the Dining Hall before 8:15 AM will be forcibly escorted out of their rooms (or wherever else they may be). True to Craftly's words, one of the faceless men will be waiting in the Dining Hall while all the current survivors gather. Once everyone is there, with the exception of Kamui, the staff member will slip a transparency into the projector, switching the device on to reveal what appears to be a telegram. [ look, the fact that poor Murderer-san got turned into Kamui cheese is gross doesn't matter to Akira. he still has an appetite and all he's had since last night was cup after cup of coffee and maybe a little curry meant for Heather. the death itself is sad and grotesque, but. come on.

he's totally going to sideglance at everyone else, noting their distaste towards the faceless man's appearance. not a lot of people seem overly interested... that would be a big waste of ice cream, though??

so Akira hesitantly steps forward and extends both hands. ]

... I would like vanilla ice cream and some of the octopus gummies, please.

[ The faceless man pulls out TWO big scoops and sprinkles like salt bae some octopus gummies on top. He hands it over. ]

Don't do that. It'd be a waste. As prisoners, we don't waste anything we're given. Who knows if it's the last.

[ he takes a loooong lick of his ice cream in front of Heather. don't fuck w/ his ice cream, gurl. ]

[ okay before she wanted to protect you from tentacandy but now that he's being smug she just wants to punch him a little. ]

We can't leave. Crafty-san and his servants are our wardens. We're subject to their rules. I would say so, yes.

[ he takes another large mouthful of ice cream in his mouth as she talks about losing his tongue. afterwards, he waves it towards her as if she may want to share. ]

[Akira may think he's safe. but that only lasts so long before a hand sneaks out to take one of his octopus gummies. she's no phantom thief, but they're cute and brightly colored?

of course, he's welcome to protest.]

[ he will not protest!!! Quer will only get the briefest of gasps out of surprise before he realizes who took one of the octopi. ]

Quer-san. I wasn't aware you were a fan of sweets.

[ Akira will take one of his own to chew on while he offers her another. ]

Are they sweet? They're strange colors.

[he's eating it, so it should be safe...she takes a small bite, and the shock at the taste of something so different is evident on her face.]

This is so weird.

[...she's going to take more bites though. small, careful.]

[ oh no. Quer-san. don't eat things you know nothing about. leave that to him... ]

Is it? [ maybe she's used to, like. eating legit octopi? he doesn't know. ] You're eating gummies. They're meant to be chewy! Please don't try to swallow them whole.

[ don't swallow the tentacles whole, quer-san ]

Worried I'll choke? That's kind.

[too late it's in her mouth. but obligingly, she stops and then slowly begins to chew. okay....this is marginally more tolerable, but still. sweet enough to make her teeth hurt. she's going to be needing water, or salt, after this.]

Sweets to chase away the sight of a murder. That's one way to do it.
