Unlike the previous day, those who are asleep past 8:00 AM will experience no pain as they're roused awake. Instead, they're pulled from their sleep peacefully, almost as if enveloped in a mother's loving embrace. A comfortable warmth spreads through their body as they open their eyes, finding themselves free of any grogginess or disorientation. Similarly, those who woke up early or were unable to sleep at all will find themselves alert and ready to take on the day. Considering what is about to transpire, however... no one would be blamed for wishing they could stay asleep. "Good morning. My staff and I hope you were able to sleep well. As promised, an execution will take place on this fine day. Please make your way to the Dining Hall. A member of our distinguished staff will be waiting for you with a summary of last night's results." Just like the previous day, residents who do not make their way to the Dining Hall before 8:15 AM will be forcibly escorted out of their rooms (or wherever else they may be). True to Craftly's words, one of the faceless men will be waiting in the Dining Hall while all the current survivors gather. Once everyone is there, with the exception of Hana Song, the staff member will slip a transparency into the projector, switching the device on to reveal what appears to be a telegram. [ dave isn't a fan of the dark and the hands and the having trouble breathing. for once there's very real panic on his expression when the two seconds are up and they're in a clearing next to the lake. his hand is at his throat when he's through but he drops it and gets himself kind of under control as quickly as he can, though he's jittery as fuck without anything to really put his back to.

he's quiet as he watches the entire thing from start to finish, arms crossed. ]

[his roommate is a bit more vocal, but after letting some of his anger out, he lapses into a quiet kind of rage. something calm on the surface, but boiling on the inside]

[he steps up next to Dave's side, bumping shoulders with him]

[ the shoulder bump is returned, and honestly, having someone by his side gets dave to stop being as jumpy, although it's still there. he apparently really does not like not being able to gauge where an attack will come from and HANDS FROM THE FLOOR OR WHATEVER has set him on edge. ]

[Ok then he's inching closer. Like not in a sneaky way. In an incredibly, stupidly awkward way.

He is now Beside Dave. He glances down, and turns his hand open, like he'd take Dave's hand. Then he looks up at Dave. He very much looks like he's asking for permission.]

is the most awkward moment yet dirk what the fuck??? dave...does not...stop him? he just kind of tenses and i guess uncrosses his arms but he doesn't take the final step so this looks incredibly dumb as fuck. ]

Anyway he holds the hand careful of the injuries and he's looking at Dave carefully and worriedly because honestly? He wants to go in for a stupidly awkward hug.

Look he has to see if the handholding is like fully rejected before he attempts something so drastic and bold.

[ okay dave thought the hand holding attempt was like the end of things so he went back to looking straight on at the execution, so he is doing nothing but letting his hand be held as he watches all That.

it's truly pathetic that this is on display for everyone to see ]

[So the awkward, like, weirdass hug is going to come as a surprise then.

Stage one involves shuffling closer so that they are arm to arm.

Stage two, if stage one is not rejected, is going to be a full-scale awkward embrace.]

[ yep this is a complete surprise and the shuffling is noted but dave doesn't. tense up any further although he does kind of glance over like ??? at the shuffle.

he goes completely still at the awkward embrace stage although he doesn't shove dirk off. so that's...progress... ]
